  • The great Stefan Rademacher showed me the exercise the tool bassist is playing (and various others) a long time ago and they were very helpful. Now I'll try yours, thanks for sharing it, all the bass-t from kayo

  • Hi Dan! Greetings from Brazil! Your videos are amazing and always very well explained by you, and your way of speaking helps a lot the understanding of these techniques. This "Robotic" 🤖sound scale is really very creative and good for exercising, stretching and alternating the fingers. I enjoyed it. Have a great day! 🎸🔊🎵🎶

  • I play a song called Honky Tonk Man by Dwight Yoakam. It is a cool song/exercise that stretches your fingers. I’m adding this exercise also! Thank you

  • the exercise is CRAZY! It took me a while just to get it under my fingers. Did you write this by your own or is it borrowed from somewhere?

    @hubertried19@hubertried196 күн бұрын
    • I know! Definitely borrowed from somewhere I can’t remember - maybe Steve Vai or Joe Satriani although I may have made it more evil.

  • Hi Dan, After 25 years of playing with a 3-finger technique (plucking hand), I decided to re-train myself to use just two. I figured it would tidy up my technique. Do you have any opinions on 3-fingers? What solutions exist for muting?

    @rodoherty1@rodoherty113 күн бұрын
    • I should have said that I'm not looking for a reply. Rather, I'm wondering if those might be a topic for a video. So just take this as a suggestion and feel free to ignore.

      @rodoherty1@rodoherty113 күн бұрын
    • I reply to everything, don’t worry! My opinion is that if it works for you and it sounds good, go for it. For me, I use a traditional two finger approach most of the time and the works for me. I’ll use thumb sometimes with index and middle (especially for chords or passages with big intervallic jumps). 3 fingers is amazing I just can’t do it! Stick with what feels natural to you. Re training after 25 years can be really difficult so it’s up to you whether you want to do it or not… it might open up other ways of playing for you.

      @OnlineBassCourses@OnlineBassCourses5 күн бұрын
    • @@OnlineBassCourses Thanks, Dan. I appreciate the reply. I'll consider going back to three fingers because two still feels unnatural to me. Thanks again!! 👍
