Stunning Stones Secretly Shining All Around My Toes
Stunning agates, jaspers, petrified wood and more! These stones cover the gravels of the Yellowstone River in Montana and the best of them seem to sometimes be hidden in plain sight. How many of these treasured rocks do we step right over as we walk or hike over the gravels? I know sometimes I may walk right over a gorgeous agate more than once and completely miss it.
I always get asked where I get my water spray bottle from...so I thought I would post a link to Amazon for it....

Looking to learn about Yellowstone River agates? This is a publication from 1972 by a man named Paul Fry. This was the very first literature I read when I was learning about Montana agates. It is called "Meanderings of a Montana Rockhound" and it is priceless:

Nice to see you on the hunt and sharing. ROCK ON SISTER!! You fellow Colorado Rockhound. ✌🏼
Once again you find the most spectatular rocks. I thought I heard a rumble in the background as you crossed the freezing water. It took me a bit but I figired it out. It was the best rocks wiggling there way to the surface for you to pick up. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad you got some more beautiful rocks ahead of the floods😊 Thank you for sharing rock wisperer.😷⚒🌵

Every two steps you find a winner. I've spent hours upon hours rock hounding a stream and I've only found one gemstone. It's so easy there and other places I've seen on here. Oh well. Never say die. I have learned alot watching videos like this. One day I'll find something spectacular.

Mitch! You taught me about how amazing burls are! They are fantastic to cut - whether they are live wood or petrified!!!! Seeing some of the burls you have expertly crafted has been eye-opening. Thank you for that 😁
I wish I lived there. I would camp right by the river. Lol.
Wow, thanks! Every find was gorgeous! I hope you do some cutting videos so we can see their amazing insides.
I was crying by the end of your video, i why am i not living in Montana. Amazing hunt Kym.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Watching you ford that icy water almost made me freeze my begee-zees off!! We've had several 70°F days... now today we're cold... and I experienced sympathy chills for you. Your rockhunting videos are so exciting. I can only describe where you hunt as "rockhound heaven." Safe and happy trails to you, MRM... and get into some dry clothes and boots!!!! 🥾🥾🤠⚒️🪨🎒
PS. Brrrrr on the ice water in the boots!! You go girl! Lol. Thanks again for sharing. ✌🏼
you always find the best agates! and you pick ones I would’ve never thought to pick up and they’re always amazing
Oh my goodness, what a sweet little guy. Great memories in the making. ❤
Wow, Kim, you found some really beautiful stuff 😍
How can you possibly carry all those gorgeous rocks back to your vehicle. Some of them are so huge. It's got to be hard to leave any of them behind.
You are breaking the internet!
Haha Alex- you are funny. We will light up the internet when we do our video together this summer - it's going to be so good!
I would be picking up all the white and golden agates in one bucket. All the red rocks in another, green in another, gold in another...paving walls with them...awesome..Going nuts for the colors!!
Good Intro Kim ! Great finds , miss you 🥰
Such beautiful finds
Great hunts so far before the flood, so many colourful rocks. I love coral, but that green jasper and the agate with the amazing face, wow!
Thank you for coming along and enjoying the adventure 😊
WOWZZZA!!!! 6-21-24 back on the Yellowstone, care for a visit mizzz mom??? For rockhounding!!! Camping!???
What a gorgeous rock. The blue looks like it was painted on! What a treasure
You have such a good eye for these rocks!😊
You Are TRULY BLESSED!!!
Such brilliant colors!
Beautiful Finds ❤❤
Fantastic finds!! What a great blessing to be able to frequent this place!!!
You have such a good eye for finding those.
The rock in your thumbnail looks like an eye! You are so fortunate to live where you do, a place you can go out into areas as you do to find such amazing gems. That would be a dream for me as I live in an area of flat land, corn fields & soy beans for as far as the eye can see🤣 find mostly granite.
Thanks for the content! Would love to see Drogon fed more! Lol Rock on sister!
Amazing finds! Is there any chance of a video slabbing any of these rocks? I'm dying to see what's on the inside.
I do put some aside to cut!
Your videos are wild❤
oh my. Your agatized something was gorgeous. and the jasper right after that was something else. And the agate with the blue bands was incredible. Will you be cutting soon? We haven't seen Drogon lately.
That’s some great finds. I’m jealous.
Beautiful absolutely beautiful
You find so many cool pieces!!
Just like always, you always find the prettiest rock! 😊
I like the limb cast I think they’re pretty. I really see how much you enjoy hunting for rocks. It’s one of my favorite things to do too rock on.
I love limb casts too! Rock On!
Thank you soooooooo much for sharing your beautiful finds!!!
Nice!!! 🪨🪨🪨
NH too after the Winter floors. Its looking good.
Wow, everyone is amazing. What a honey hole. I hope some day to experience that
Cool finds!
Look at that!!! ❤
Great finds
The cold struggle is real ppl!!!!
Love to see some of those cut open and polished
I could tell just by the way you speak. You would be actually a cool person to hang out with
I am so jealous of all the beautiful rocks and fossilized wood. I live in Missouri and we are limited on agates sadly
I don't have a tumbler or anything of the sort. When I come across a pretty little rock I paint it with a clear finish and display it on my book shelf or cabinet.❤
Those are some awesome finds, kinda jealous lol
Great sir!
Your beaver friend is an artist sculptor. You are yourself an artist gemologist, so only artists in the area.
