This resonates with me on a personal level. I’ve been in a situation where I’m pretty isolated, and I’d always make up imaginary friends to help me cope. This feels like a disturbingly beautiful recreation of that feeling.

This is great! So Kirra just had a dream of her past I think? (Since you noted the “fukumata family”). It’s funny that her adoptive parents look more like her than her biological parents (or it’s just the hair lol). I’m curious about the incident with her parents tho, that made them disappear. I feel like sunny took her to the vermillion family, and the shadows did something to make her biological parents disappear or smth? Or Kirra running away to the forest has nothing to do with her parents disappearing incident. Not sure but that’s my line of thought. Also curious if sunny was actually a shadow or smth😂
well in the summary of this act it says that kirra didn't remember her early life because of childhood trauma so I doubt that she was brought to the vermillion family right after being in the woods with sunny because she seems fine there, so something has to have gone down. but my theory is that the forest seen is something traumatized kirra made up so she wouldn't have to think of what actually happened and sunny like saved her or something and that's why he's there.
@@jacobdoswalt Given the brief exempt we got from her actually interacting with her parent (rather than dreaming about it) it may well be that their fighting + neglect is said childhood trauma.

I like how your videos stand on their own very well, so someone who's new or has missed many videos doesn't feel totally lost because you don't need to have seen previous videos to enjoy the current one, but at the same time if you have seen related videos in the past or know the lore that makes it even better cos you can see things connecting into each other.

This reminds me of when i was younger. my parents fought all the time and the house was never quiet. they never gave me hugs or much attention. I had one imaginary friend who I would see in my dreams. We would always go on adventures and he filled the void i thought would never be complete.

There are cases in which people who experience traumatic events don’t remember them because our brains block them out as a survival mechanism to protect us so we can keep functioning and surviving after experiencing trauma which is called dissociative amnesia so I think Kirra might have that and that’s why she couldn’t remember any of those events from her childhood when she woke up.
