The things that matter and should be microed in Ck can be ignored in EU etc. one thing all paradox do share in common is that you would feel being hit by your head with a stick the first time you play 😂

    • While it should not have gone HOI4 military movement route (or old HOI3 system), I think fronts should definitely have more control and thought. Probably you could draw fronts, allocate supplies but do not have individual stacks for example. Maybe even supply system could be worked in, where you provide buildings to transport them in distance (those logistics). System would be strategic and abstract, but at the same time, it would be serious economic and logistic task simulation.

  • The main reason to not do this is if you want the factories to have different settings, since settings are applied per province. For example, Shipyards have settings that can either make Steamers or Clippers, but not both. You need Clippers throughout the whole game as that's the input for Ports to make Convoys, so if you only have one Shipyard and you convert it to Steamers, you won't have a source of Clippers for your Ports anymore. To a lesser degree, the problem also happens with Fertilizer/Explosives, Small Arms/Cannons, and Glass/Porcelain, though those factories can still output both unlike the Shipyard which is just one or the other.

    @TrueXyrael@TrueXyrael Жыл бұрын
    • Clippers eventually become obsolete as all buildings that use them can eventually be converted to steamers, including convoys. So eventually all your shipyards will be converted to steamers. However at that point you'll need to find a sweet spot between military and civilian production settings for your ironclads

  • The most important button in this game is auto expand, cause it drastically reduces micro to a human capable level. Justo auto expend resourse production and focus on goods that require supply chains and generate a lot of added value which contributes to gdp growth. The problem though is that if you want to improve your level of life or destroy your ally economy in customs union you want your goods to be super cheap, which means you need super cheap resourses, so you have to micro again + subsidize resourse facilities

  • Something important about Bureaucracy is that the negatives and bonuses are based off the ratio between the usage and production of your bureaucrat score. If your usage is 10 percent more than the production, then you lose 10% taxes, but since the government buildings add a flat amount, there are some diminishing returns, it won't always be a 5% increase, as your total production can end up being over 1.5k by the mid game,

After about 14 hours, playing with cheats to stay afloat and test the best way to earn money I've caught on to much of what you've shown here, with the tools needed to produce coal, making them cheaper etc. never though about avoiding railways though. great tips. Also, in the "market" view there is a toggle that you can change, (if I remember correctly) you can set the specific import/export to prioritize domestic use or prioritize export or neutral. Because I noticed that as I was diversifying my economy with engines, locomotives, Ironclads, etc. that I continually couldn't get the resources needed, mainly steel. So I looked in the market tab and found that toggle and set it to prioritize domestic use and it brought my income up drastically because it brought the demand for resources down.

  • 4:02 I don't think you get the "State Construction Efficiency", because you decided to construct your construction centres here and there. My understanding is that this bonus only affects things being constructed in the state of a construction centre. So generally you want to build a tall pile of construction centres in the state which you want to be central for your economy, where you will spend a lot of time building. That's just another kind of "economy of scale", even stricter in the sense that in this case the pile of construction centres needs to be in the same state as your pile of factories, while if the construction centres were using the same system as all other buildings then you could scatter you workforce into one construction state and one factory state.

One should always designate one state as the "main hub", it should start with a big population, get permanent Greener Grass, permanent Road Maintenance, permanent Encourage Manufacturing and maxed construction sector. If it's not the capital it should be made the capital but for most countries the original capital is a fine choice. In this state you only build urban buildings, no rural, no resources. Once you run out of peasants in this state migration towards it will increase. The high wages there will increase SoL more than if you dispersed construction early on. The urban buildings with high throughput effects will still remain productive enough.

    • Japan is an interesting one, as you have to think about how you actually create a demand for a resource, so it doesn't sit at -75% price and makes the factory unprofitable. Having listenined to a few other channels, I think the best earlygame route to railroads for Japan (or other isolationists, if they have those resources) is probably Tools to use in Logging Camps -> Iron Mines to use for Iron Tools and Coal Mines to use for Coal Streetlights in whatever order you like -> Steel Mills to use for Steel Tools -> Engines and Railroads That way, you gradually have a bit of demand (and therefore should have profitable buildings) for each new resource (well except engines, do them at the same time as railroads) on the way to getting railroads.

    @fsulitskiy@fsulitskiy Жыл бұрын
    • iron and wood are quite good actually - because *someone* always needs them. If you're not building (which you almost always are) your trade partners are, and they'll take up the slack. If you find yourself in a position where your "static" use of wood/iron vs your "active" use is too far apart, you simply increase your "static" use (by building tool workshops, for example)
