Coyote : look at that rattlesnake Me : AAAAHHHHHH, A SPIDER!!!
I used to play in these deserts near Phoenix as a kid. Found a baby rattlesnake once, when I was like eight or nine years old. It let me hold it, and I let it go after a few minutes. One of the best things from my childhood, especially since I know how dangerous they are now.
Me : scared of dark Coyote : searching the most dangerous snake of America at night
Ya lol1
The western diamondback is not the most dangerous. We also have Mojave rattlers which has the most potent venom of all rattlers. It's a neurotoxic venom. I've encountered a few.
@Ross Pate I'm not encouraging people to mess with them. Just stating a fact. Your chances of surviving a bite from a WDB are far greater than that of a Mojave.

@Dream clone dré
I love how relaxed that diamondback was the whole time. It didn't seem to feel very threatened at all and was just like "all right, can I leave now?"
Think this is the calmest wild snake I have ever seen so far its kinda cool
They replace it with a tame one.
@@Sherlock245 because they somehow had an identical snake? You're kidding I assume.
@@Ryodraco not kidding I am serious. Look at videos of rattle snakes they are very aggressive. Even non venomous one they will wrap around your arm and want to escape. Not wait around like a tame pet snake. 😳
@@Sherlock245 Depends on a lot of factors, like the individual's personality, the temperature, how active they were, etc. Many wild snakes will also calm down quickly if handled gently. Anyway, I find it far more likely they found a laid back wild snake than that they just happened to have a identical tame captive snake on hand, let alone a venomous one, to replace it with.
Wow not only is that a beautiful example of a rattlesnake but he was very relaxed for a western diamondback. Didn’t really strike or rattle at all. Beautiful
What a beautiful reptile. So much respect shown for a very important part of the ecosystem. Thank you for showing respect, love and knowledge for this beautiful species of snake
That's gotta be one of the most chill rattlesnakes they've shown on Brave Wilderness! No aggression! Also, what a lovely animal 😊
In my limited experience (I've seen maybe 5 over 6 years while camping) they are pretty chill. One coiled around my telescope tripod leg though and ruined my night.
Rattlers aren't aggressive and will only bite if they have no other defense. Even then they won't hit you with much venom unless you really scared the poor thing
@@theonetruefusky7681 Yea I haven't seen any in the wild, but some of the ones on Brave Wilderness here have shown a more defensive stance than this one and have tried to appear more intimidating. I was surprised by this one when it did less of that 😊
@@bleachfan063 the world is a scary place when you are a noodle with a head, sometimes you gotta look scary to get away from threats. But most snakes will always try to remain unnoticed since they can realize a large predator will almost always win in a fight even if they give them a big hit of venom. Its a last resort kinda thing. Also some snakes won't even invenomate you on a bit and instead trigger a try bite.
@@theonetruefusky7681 Yes, they're just such cool creatures, I really don't understand people with a fear of them. Obviously a healthy respect of any kind of animal that could be dangerous is important, but to think they're gross or terrifying just confounds me. They're beautiful!

I am really impressed by this channel and Coyote Peterson. I would bet that a lot of young children watch this channel, and probably very popular in schools. Even his "acting" really nervous when he catches the creatures helps. Maybe he is or maybe it is an act, but it conveys to young kids that it is no joke to handle these creatures and even adults are "afraid". I know there is no way I am touching that thing and I am 52 lol. I tell everyone, esp adults with kids about this channel. Thanks Coyote, another great one.

What I really like about these videos is that one can see that Coyote really loves nature and the animals within it. It is not attention-seeking kind of bs and just playing around. He shows these animals in thei habitat and in every video I got to learn something and on the other side fall in love with nature a little more for her sophisticated creativity, quaintness and perfection. Thank you very much!
I thought the coral snake was America's most venomous? Still, love these animals!! :D
It is I think but the bite is terrible
I think it depends. Their venom is slightly different and everybody reacts in their own way, that's one of the things that make snakes such formidable creatures. No matter what, you certainly won't wanna be bitten by either. :)
@@funpersonakaebw1110 True that, lol. I had a look, apparently the Coral has more toxic venom, but they have a poor delivery system and deliver only a fraction of that of the Rattlesnake, which makes the Rattlesnakes bite overall deadlier.
I don’t take Coyote for granted. I know he’s been back on Brave Wilderness for a while but I just wanna say I’m glad to see him back.
