Get your FREE lesson PDF and B1-C1 Ebook here 👉🏼 ewl.info/how-to-flirt-pdf (do NOT underestimate how awesome that B1-C1 ebook is!) *IMPORTANT* After posting this video, I learnt that the idiomatic expression ‘call a spade a spade’ may be considered offensive to some people. When the saying first entered the English language, the word ‘spade’ referred to the garden tool used for digging in the garden. Unfortunately, however, more recently, the word ‘spade’ has been used as a derogatory (insulting) term for Black people. Because of this, you may decide to use an alternative expression, such as ‘tell it like it is’ or ‘give it to me straight’ to convey the same meaning. This is a very interesting article if you’d like to learn more about the evolution of this expression: www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2013/09/19/224183763/is-it-racist-to-call-a-spade-a-spade

You're beautiful lucy 😊
Let me answer your final question with another question if it's not too daring... Would you advise using these words when asking a girl out? I mean, wouldn't she just think I'm some kind of a geekish weirdo who just swallowed a dictionary and is now throwing it up on her?
My version of flirting is looking at someone I find attractive multiple times and hoping they're more brave than I am.
I can relate 😂 And sharing loads of memes with them 😂
@@EnglishwithLucyHey you've made me Silly. I know this sounds fascinating but i think that's now the right time to confess 😅 Coz the topic is all bout it I love You ❤ From The land of pure people Pakistan ❤😅 Fact : iam one who did confessed my impression and feelings for you 😅😊

I'm British and I need this video
What a great teacher Lucy is. So clear to understand.
This is a good and fun language lesson. But for asking someone out, you don't need to say things like, "No worries if not" at the end. Be confident and don't undermine yourself. Expect a yes! Everyone understands that they can say no, but you don't have to start that answer for them!
The lesson we all needed and never dared to ask for... 🥰🥰🥰
I love you Lucy, I want to flirt with you.😭😭😭

I´m a german who´s never been to england ever before and understand literally everything when it came to the ultra slang levels and I´m confused how I was able to do so haha. But I´m pretty happy about that to be honest
Really I do enjoying some words of English like knowing the word friend is some times we can say mate by advanced English language and be blessed Lucy.
Coming up with this topic, by miles, took me by surprise.
Thank you miss Lucy l appreciate that help ❤
Great job ❤❤❤
"Really appreciate how you make complex topics fun and easy to understand."(Vahid an English teacher).
Very enjoyable lesson with really interesting vocabulary. You got me the most with "cakehole" which I first heard in an episode of "Supernatural". That's in few words (for everyone who doesn't know) a series about two brothers in a mystery-road-movie-setting. In the very first episode, the younger brother complains about the "outdated" music cassette collection. The older brother's reply: "House rule, Sam: Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole!" I thought that cakehole was American slang in the first place, so very interesting that it is also British slang and in American English it's usually "piehole".
Thanks a lot for the e book
I really enjoys your class
What a beautiful word" CHUFFED. I love it
Great effort Lucy
Hi my dear Proficient Master Lucy, my name is Ashok Wasnik and I am an Indian. I am very much thankful about your the most excellent lesson about C-1 and C-2. C1 means fluency a non-native speaker who can speak without struggling. But C-2 means proficiency the native or bilingual who can speak like a native or proficiently . Fluency is an ability or capacity or art or skill of the non-native speaker. But Proficiency is the ability or skill or art of the native- speaker. According to me fluency is the first step of proficiency In fact, the non- native or bilingual is a fluent and the native is a Proficient.
Have a good day .
I will enjoy this class humma 🥰🥰
Good stuff for everyone
