I think France has so much tourism without speaking english, it is of no use to begin. I worked in tourism in Paris, most of the people I encountered spoke english and a latin language, when not chinese or russian. English is more difficult to french people than to Dutch, but it's the first foreign language to be learned in France. Every time a tourist speaks directly to me in english without asking if he can, I ignore him! :D So the first tongue to learn if you travel is politeness.

Everybody mostly talks about Delon’s handsome face, which is pretty much good looking indeed, but his talent as an actor is much much more impressive than his appearance. He is one of the few actors who could deliver a sutil acting when playing his characters. No hysterical screaming, raging or crying made him such a great actor, as we see so many people attributing as perfect acting performances, but his capacity to show the viewers hundreds of feelings and emotions with only one sight and eyebrow expression. Beyond that, his role choices were also exceptional during his career, choosing to work with ones of the greatest filmmakers of his time, such as Luchino Visconti, Antonioni, Melville, Deray. Surely, on of the best actors of all time. The right one to admire and recognize as the best choice for appreciating cinema when watching one of his films.
