  • Dani, you have taken many thousands of us on an emotional journey. When a wild animal overcomes their basic instinct and gives you love and loyalty, its for a good reason. You gave Roo life when it could have been over...twice. Animals never forget, just as we could not forget this experience with you. The love of a wild animal is unconditional. Trust that you have done the right thing and try not to fret over him, because we out here, all over the world, are doing that for you.

  • I'll be waiting patiently for Roo's next tale. Such beautiful photos of a little red squirrel who has stolen the hearts of many. I must admit my heart stopped a beat when i saw the road he must cross. It sank into my gut when you showed the trees that will be cut down forever, harming wildlife habitat. I wish humans would be better stewards of the planet earth. My spirits were lifted though, when Roo took you on a 5 hour adventure to share his world. I believe you will always be his person. As always, thank you for sharing your beautiful story. Til next time...❤❤

  • as a zoologist, its such a blessing to see people like you who know that wild animals belong in the wilds. there are so many selfish people out there who would have kept him as a pet. I have seen people "adopting" bob cats they found sick, using the poor animals condition for their own gain and to have an "exotic pet". People like you who promote Rehablitation are such a need and thank you for sharing this with the world. We need more people like you. only nature is species-appropriate. ❤🧡

    • There are exceptions. Both to the idea that a wild animal only belongs in the wild and to the idea that wildlife cannot form personal relationships with human beings and exercise their own free will to maintain that relationship or visit that person at any location and in any capacity in which they choose, and the idea that humans and wildlife cannot of their own free will and self-determination share their food and resources and seek to cooperate. I say this as someone who has both helped rehabilitate and raise wild crows and other wildlife, and currently works privately within the field of ethology, a subfield of zoology, on interspecies communication, regularly interacting with, communicating with, walking with, playing with, and sharing occasional healthy species appropriate food with, safe to interact with wildlife, like crows, like ravens, like ducks, and Canada geese

  • For 4yrs we have had a beautiful princess ( we don't name them ) squirrel visit us everyday and now thinks she owns our house. From sitting on top of my head while I am working at my desk to bringing her litters each year, she has enriched our lives beyond anything I would have ever imagined. I tiggle her tummy sometimes and gently rub her head, apart from that we don't pet and don't bet bit. Finding walnuts and peanuts hidden under our pillows in the bedroom gives you an idea of how at ease she is with us. p.s We live in a major city, so it makes it extra special a wild animal trusts us.

What a gracious squirrel mom you have been, nurturing him with so much patience and then letting him go and then going back and checking on him, watching over him and letting him be wild and free. That shot of Ruben gracefully leaping from canopy to canopy was nothing short of breathtaking! 🐿✨ And can we talk about the cinematic touch you added with your SAAB in the background? That was a pleasant surprise and added such a unique element to the scene. Your wildlife rescue efforts are truly commendable, and it's heartwarming to see the dedication and care you put into making a difference in the lives of these adorable red squirrels. It's not just about photography; it's about conservation and the incredible bond you've developed with the wildlife. The storytelling in your episodes is so engaging, and the editing is on point. Every moment is crafted with precision, making it impossible for viewers like me to look away. The sound effects, too, contribute to the immersive experience. It's like being right there in the midst of the action. Honestly, you've set the bar high for wildlife content creators. Your passion shines through, and it's evident that you truly care about the subject matter. Your work is top-notch, and I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate the dedication you bring to each episode. Keep hanging that moon, my friend! 🌕 Looking forward to more incredible content from you.

  • Dani I have been watching the best KZhead story I have ever seen. You journey with Roo. I cried with joy during most of the video. Your so lucky to make this kind of connection with a wild animal, you are incredibly lucky, Setting him free was both the right thing to do and probably the hardest thing to do. I am a HUGE fan of your work and your heart, I hope some day I can meet you. I am 61 and had a strok 2 years ago, and I hope to follow your footsteps and enjoy nature and share it. Love all you do Dani

  • I've always wondered why people appear to believe wild animals raised in captivity want nothing more than return to the wild -- despite the OBVIOUS trouble this spells. If we were able to interview those poor critters, I wouldn't be surprised if 9/10 of them later reported they felt royally screwed once they realized they had been left high & dry in the wilderness by their previous owners... 🤔😅

  • And the fact you came back to find him there is no fluke, the two of you share a connection on the level of "The Creator" of this beautiful world. Nature is the real world, and where I feel I truly belong. Flora and fauna dont lie about what they are or what they do. They dont smile in your face, only to stab you in your back!!

  • I LOVE your videos. Roo is a lucky Squirrel to have such a great friend. The world needs more kind people in the world. I am from the UK and Red Squirrels have been pushed out by the grey. So to see a Red squirrel fills my heart with joy. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.

  • From returning to Sweden to care for Roo, through all your efforts and love, you raised a squirrel who not only successfully transitioned to the wild but who also chose to keep his connection with you. That Roo wanted to give you a full tour of his new home speaks so strongly of his attachment to you--and that he appeared on your doorstep on your last day, well, it can't get much better than that. Thank you so much for saving Roo and facilitating him having his best wild life. And thank you for sharing this adventure with us. It is wonderful to see him thriving!
