The Vanished King of Tekken Who Returned to Conquer the World

Imagine having it all. Imagine being on top of the world.
Only to give it all away.
Once upon a time, Qudans was the undisputed best Tekken player in the world. And then, he vanished.
Ten years after his disappearance, Qudans came back. Some people in the scene didn’t even know who he was. Some people didn’t know how much had happened to him. How hard he worked, the tragedy he overcame.
But the people that remembered his name knew a legend had returned.

    • Online games rack up a lot of money with all those top-ups and a lot of sponsors with larger player base and the large streaming community. Those games would easily rack up the pool, and fact that they also sell more merchandise and tickets than a mere console game like tekken or street fighter. As for Fortnite specifically, it doesn't look professional. It's tournament looks like randomly built by some rich guy to pool together all the famous players, streamer or some random guys who is good enough for fun. Anyways Tekken is very hard game once you stop, you'll lose your touch easily and if you go back you have to relearn a lot of things. Tekken so hard that it tooks years for pros to even start competing toward the big stage. And console fighting games aren't racking up much money either if you compare to the online games market. So they have to rely to gain some miracle to gain more sponsors somehow to rack up the pool.

      @yourpanda7955@yourpanda79554 жыл бұрын
  • Even though they gave him a lot of praise I still think they didn't do his earlier dominance justice. He was just on a different level, you always felt like he was 5 steps ahead of the competition and getting a hit on him felt like luck more than calculation. Finding a 240p Qudans vid online was like Christmas morning. Another thing about his comeback was he had a full time job while training. He wouldn't be able to train everyday and when he would play it wouldn't be for too long. That's why he started playing again in 2011 but really only returned to form around 2015. When streaming started getting bigger he was finally able to go from full time to part time and make up the rest from streaming. He essentially had to rebuild himself and become a top level player twice in his life time. Honestly his story could be a full length documentary film and I hope one day someone makes one about him cause there are so many levels to his story.

A tekken player name NIN physically assaulted Qudans after he revealed NIN was responsible for stealing prize money and that his attitude was cancerous in Korean tekken scene.
