@@thraxgasolina Im 30 myself and just finished watching DBZ for the first time a week ago! I absolutely loved the grit and heart of it. The general consensus after Z is to skip GT and tolerate Super? Ive heard mixed stuff about super and im not sure how I’ll like it.
Roshi’s combo is the same as his grab move in BT3. The only thing you forgot to check, but yeah the grab is basically 1:1 with what he did in the Sparking Zero trailer. It basically confirms grabs are returning, they just showed him doing it before the grab animation it seems

The attack Roshi does is the drunken fighting style that you sometimes see in movies And the reason Krillin's scatter ball is exploding the ground before it shoots is because thats what it did in the show
It's heavily featured in fighterz too, kinda funny this guy doesn't know

This is something that Dragon Ball fans have completely forgotten at this point, but in Dragon Ball Super, in the Battle of Gods arc, Beerus has this technique that nullifies energy to 0, it's possible that that is what Whis is doing during this trailer
I'm glad that there was something to explain what sonic sway is, i saw so many people losing their minds about it in the comments on the trailer and I had no idea what they were talking about

@@KaitouKaijuI am surprised at that. Did not one enemy do it on them. In tenkaichi tag team, every enemy will atleast do it once on you. Maybe they didn't play tenkaichi 3 as they claim. (The last part was a joke)

Yeah, I think Whis canceled Beerus' Sphere of Destruction or something along the lines. The attack detonated before Whis started to advance behind him, so he did something there. It would have hit otherwise if he didn't.

Yeah I really wish for sparking zero to be polished when release. With all those details and animation, I think they are on the right track for now

Remember in tenkaichi 1 and 2 it was his go to sleep move.
With how many trailers we’re getting pretty much back to back, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the release date could be announced this fall or winter, and the release date could be next fall or winter, spring at the absolute earliest (based on those times of years being when DBZ games release)
It already has an ESRB rating, which would indicate it’s releasing before the holiday season this year.

If they're influenced by Ultimate Tenkaichi for the presentation then they better have the huge stage damage and crater aftermath shots.
Considering things like krillins scatter shot scorching the ground, there is definitely a chance.
They are making a combination of Tenkaichi 3 raging blast 2 and ultimate tenkaichi. What's funny is I thought jump force felt like ultimate tenkaichi without the rock paper scissors.

Actually KaDazee The attack that beerus is using in 4:23 on whis is not sphere of destruction that is actually cataclysmic orb/Destruction ball, and the attack that beerus is using in 5:04 is not Supernova that is actually Sphere of Destruction beerus ultimate attack just to let you know.
I still think that Whis Ice Cream thing is supposed to be those character buffs like Saiyan Soul, Fake Courage and Finish Sign. Since he does that animation in Kakarot during Battle phases for buffs. Watch Beerus have Sleep as well similar to how Kid Buu had in BT3.

They didn’t say that Ultimate Tenkaichi was an inspiration, they said they paid particular attention to how Ultimate Blasts look, Ultimate Blasts being what Ultimate attacks are called.
No, they said something like "we took inspiration from Ultimate Blast". Ultimate Blast is the name of Ultimate Tenkaichi in Japan like Sparking is the japanese name of Budokai Tenkaichi games.
@@gorrillabishan No, they said that Ultimate Blasts are an example of the “stunning effects that can only be achieved on the current generation of consoles.” They aren’t referring to the game Ultimate Blast, they are referring to the effects work on Ultimate Blast attacks.

The sentence makes no sense as referencing the game Ultimate Blast as he’s talking about how the effects are only possible on current gen. If he was talking about the game he would have said the full title and it would have been translated as Tenkaichi, not Blast, as Japanese marketing is very specific about using full game titles. The video even shows off Goku’s Ultimate Blast when this line is said.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have Super characters in a Tenkaichi game, I'm just worried about how much they'll cut out because I would LOVE to play as Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Vegeta, or Gogeta with THESE graphics and this gameplay

I like how the game is staying true to the characters. Krillin would be sweating against Roshi, because Roshi is his master that's hiding a Hulk mode. Yamcha always been too stupid to know when he's outmatched.

1:42 I think remember seeing this combo from the original Dragon Ball anime. It might be from that time Master Roshi and Goku used a "Drunken Fist" fighting style on each other during a tournament. Because I recall that ending shoulder bash being a common attack with that style of fighting. (A fake trip/slip into a pivot that focuses all your weight into an attack)
I just hope we still get the characters from og dragon ball (og Goku, Chichi, etc) cuz they're always overlooked for a lot of db games but they did show up in the previous game

I avoided Ultimate Tenkaichi for obvious reasons but serious props to it for that emotion/stress feature depending on how well you are doing! I had no idea. It’s those details that give me the dragon ball vibe
And that’s one of the reasons why I like it.

Something I noticed that you didn't mention here is that we saw Android saga 17 and 18, but on the roster screen only 18 was a new addition. So it would seem that Super's 17 and Z's 17 are one character with two costumes
Or because he isn't a master or an apprentice so he don't include him in the end of the with the rest of the roster

I think the 3 hit combo Roshi uses is from his grab animation. I haven't played BT3 in years but I'm fairly certain that's where it's from.
4:50 it looks like the Aura Guard that was in BT2. Where a character basically flexes to raise their defense. That was always one of my favorite mechanics so id be happy to see it back (as long as i dont need it to block rush attacks x.x)
Loving that it look like they're doing a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate "Everyone is here" thing oh how I hope it has a good story mode, honestly if the gameplay is good, even just an average one would be fun as hell
Next trailer needs to show/elaborate on the story mode, the character reveals are aight but I’m more curious about the story mode and game modes, specifically if the world tournament mode is returning and if there’s gonna be any new modes to make up for the supposed lack of local pvp
Roshi's Combo is likely the drunken style from his fight against Goku in the Martial Arts World Tournament when he was disguised as Jackie Chan! quite a nice touch to add!!
1:43 The new-ish moves Roshi does remind me heavily of Shun Di from Virtua Fighter who uses drunken fist fighting style. I couldn't say if that is what they were going for or if Roshi ever used Drunken fist before in the anime but that's what it reminds me of.
The "slow down" effect you're talking about is called an impact frame. It's when the animations turn into high contrasting (usually monochromatic) silhouettesto stylize action scenes. You should look it up!

iirc, you talked about the Z counter on another video, but I see you didn't mention it here 8:00 It breaks you out of _any_ contact move _at any point,_ and yes even combo specials, but the timing is astronomically strict *and* in the case of the timings of each hit, you need to memorize the frames of each attack separately, so you can Z counter accordingly. On top of that, when it is succesfully done, at the vanishing strike, you can press circle to counter the Z counter, and the opponent can do the same, but each time a..."Z counter counter" is done, the sequence gets faster, and faster, and faster, and faster, until a player cannot keep up with it and fails. A friend of mine and I played almost 12 hours per day for almost a year, and until the end, we were able to pull this off consistently, and get a 10 sequences of "Z counter counter" Yes, it is _hard, really, really, really hard_ to do it, but it is an option (ofc, you can mash ↑ + □ until it works, but it is too inconsistent)

4:50 This reminds me of DBZ Infinite World where you press "L1 + X" and the characters create some type of super guard (don't know the name), the pose is also the same Whis does. I use that a lot when someone charges his attack or launches an Ultimate Move.
It’s cool to see the sonic sway back, but I also hope they’ll keep the manual version of it, where you can dodge light attacks individually by pressing guard + square
1:25 Ultimate Blast is actually referring to the ultimate attack, that's what they're called in-game

When My cousin and I played bt2 back then we would do something we call volleyball, where one of us would send a charged ki blast and keep bouncing it back between each other through the whole match lol.. Something like that would be fun in this game too
@kadazee the L1 counter in bt3 was used for more than just rush attacks I noticed it also can be used on contact of energy waves and knock aways i feel the deflection whis did to beerus was a updated version of that possibly

In Tenkaichi 3, SSJ Future Gohan's Ultimate has some references to SSJ2 Teen Gohan's combos on the Cell Jrs from the anime. Like when he flies past the enemy only to come back to kick

I love this series and the cool thing I discovered is the og trilogy of tenkaichi games had some insane details even though they are almost 20 years old it's crazy people really need to appreciate how the tenkaichi series homages to the anime

Battle of Z and Xenoverse let him fight so this shouldn’t surprise me of what cool thing they might come up with.
I like how compact Krillin's scattering bullet is in this game. It looks like it may actually deal some damage this time around. Since in ther previous games the area covered was so wide, the targeted character barely got hit by any of them - and the move is barely worth using. With the shower of projectiles being this dense though - it may actually be good.
The scorching happened with ssj3 in the rivals trailer But the detail with krillins scatter beam is insane when it slightly goes down the ground gets damaged a little. That’s an awesome detail. Oh and gohan isn’t speaking to the androids at the end of the trailer…🤔

I really hope that they finally give a release date with the next trailer. I’ve literally been playing both BT2 and BT3 for the past three months to prep myself for Sparking Zero.? The characters I’m most hyped to play as are Goku Black, DBS Trunks, Vegito Blue, UI Omen Goku, Gogeta Blue, SSG Goku and Vegeta, and Future Gohan. I dying to see how the story mode is gonna be and I hope it has the Free Roam and story telling of BT2 and the in-game dialogue and cutscene/transformation queues from BT3
I believe that Whis' aura burst that he did was the mechanic that sacrifices health to send out a shockwave.

That second block that whis uses reminds me of either infinite world or budokai 3 where when you went max power mode you can tank super attack in a similar pose I remember the button press hold X and pres L1
i've finally learned how to play bt3, and i must say it's very fun. i can see why people hype up this game so much, and i might buy sparking zero too

What whis do at 4:53 is called aura guard/ki guard, in dbz infinite world.... To do that move you just need to press guard button and then press Charge button, it negate every damage but it decrease your Ki bar
Man it would be so awesome if you had the option to super boost your ki waves by pressing square or something like for example gohan while fighting cell, at the end his ki wave became larger, just imagine being at low hp and using that skill to turn the tables around
