  • While Thompson and Curry went to the locker room, Draymond Green stayed to congratulate lebron. By far the highest level of respect and class ive ever seen from him.

  • Everyone can debate whether he's better than MJ and all that stuff all they want, but i'm not gonna get into that. But I will say, this has to be the single greatest achievement in basketball. Down 3-1 to a 73-9 team with the greatest shooter in NBA history, and storming back with back to back 40 point games, triple doubles left and right, leading all players in basically every statistical category? I am a Kobe fan and a Laker fan, but I will not deny greatness. So congrats to Lebron, and thank you for saving the NBA from Curry, the Nutcracker, and their bandwagon nation. If nothing else, Lebron and the Cavs should at least be appreciated for that.

  • The Cavs have never been to the NBA Finals before LeBron James came to that organization, let alone win a title.The Cavs owner Dan Gilbert should be extremely thankful that LeBron came back to that organization and he owes him the deepest of apologies for how he treated LeBron when he left for Miami.

    • What do you expect? Big Dan is a 1% crony wall street snake oil salesman with too much of an ego. I never liked him as an owner and as a person.

      @mach6893@mach68937 жыл бұрын
    • Why do people like you not look at both sides equally? LeBron bolted Cleveland in just about the most unprofessional manner possible. LEBRON disgraced the team that night by keeping it a secret and making into a show on national TV. I am a Cavs fan for over 20 years now and Dan Gilbert spoke exactly what everyone in Cleveland was thinking. LeBron showed ZERO respect for what he left behind. Why shouldn't Dan Gilbert be mad? He catered to LeBron James. The only thing you know is what happened after the show.

      @JSSTyger@JSSTyger7 жыл бұрын
    • +JSSTyger I agree that Lebron handled it poorly. Big Dan wouldn't have ripped Lebron if Lebron held a press conference in Cleveland and was honest about how he felt. +Mikki Farmer That said, Lebron should also be thankful that Big Dan welcomed him back with open arms.

      @mach6893@mach68937 жыл бұрын
    • Mach68 I mean, look at how Pat Riley has had to completely bite his tongue to avoid being a hypocrite. LeBron did things that simply made him irate. I was told LeBron would request the Miami team spend the night in Cleveland when they played there. Spoelstra would tell Riley and Riley would explode. It was like catering to a newborn. LeBron is one of the greatest athletes ever, but has the emotional state of a child.

      @JSSTyger@JSSTyger7 жыл бұрын
    • You are pulling that 'staying in Cleveland' incident completely out of context. Lebron only offered to have the team stay over in Cleveland on 2013 Thanksgiving, where he invited the WHOLE TEAM to stay one night for Thanksgiving dinner, otherwise the team would have to spend Thanksgiving in a Toronto hotel. Seems like a decent reason to me. Sources: theundefeated.com/features/lebron-james-and-the-battle-with-two-presidents/ www.cbssports.com/nba/news/maverick-carter-takes-issue-with-phil-jacksons-comments-about-lebron-james/ And I would have no problem with Lebron disgracing/insulting/degrading the Cavaliers organization. It is pretty clear to me that before Lebron came back, the Cavs were COMPLETELY dysfunctional. After Lebron left, they went from a 61 win team to 19 wins. Even by the 13.14, they still only had 30-ish wins. They even drafted Anthony Bennett 1st overall. Kyrie was a no-brainer, and that draft pick was the only thing that they did right. Lebron practically runs the entire organization for Gilbert now, effectively rebuilding the team by making the Shumpert/J. R. Smith go through and also attracting Love to sign with the Cavs. He also installed a new culture within the organization At least 90% of their recent success is the results of his work. On the other hand, Gilbert has done nothing significant to contribute to the team. Why would anyone defend such an incompetent manager?

  • This is forever my favorite finals. You guys just don't understand how amazing this title was for Cleveland to had pulled it out... -In the regular season, Cavs lost to this team on Christmas day, and the Warriors blew them out the water in the second game. If you remember, Golden State started the season like 25-0 or something, sorry I can't remember and the Cavs throughout the whole season were struggling to manage a balance and had their ups and downs. -I loved this postseason so much because it forever proves that regular season does not matter, at all. The only thing that really matters is seeding. -The odds on Cavs winning this series was so not in their favor. If I can remember correctly, it was like a 20% to 30% chance of winning. -Cleveland hasn't had a title in 52 years. -The Warriors have the best regular season in NBA history, second best home court, coach of the year, unanimous MVP who made 400 threes in a season, record for most 3s in a season. -Cavs were the severe underdogs, everybody was saying Warriors in 5, Warriors in 6 etc. Me personally I predicted a finals rematch but in the beginning of the season I said GS in 6, but then i think a few months later I changed it to Cavs in 6 becuase I just knew LeBron was gonna somehow get his revenge I didn't know how they would do it though. -The Cavs LOSE the first 2 games, and both of them were pretty much blowouts, most people had Cavs getting swept, except for me. -Cavs win game 3, but in game 4 LeBron didn't play his best and was apparently the "cause" of Green's suspension, and almost everybody hated LeBron after game 4. -I was praying to God for the Cavs to win game 5 somehow someway because I wanted all the haters to shut up. Thompson started talking shit, Green talked shit, and the world hated LeBron so for the Cavs to win game 5 never have I been so happy. Game 5 to me was more of an impressive win than game 7, just my opinion. I still can't believe they won game 5. -BTW MOST people had Golden State closing out the series whether it was game 5, 6 or 7, they didn't care, everyone doubted the Cavs. -LeBron comes back again with another 40 point game in game 6. His confidence level just skyrocketed out of nowhere and nobody could stop him in the last 3 games. -And lastly, game 7, people don't realize that Golden State coming back from 3-1 wasn't really that impressive since all they had to do was win their 2 home games and then just win 1 on the road like they should had already. The Cavs however, had to win 2 games on the road in a row, and 1 at home. They freaking shut Curry down this series too. With about 3 minutes to go it was anybody's game and for the Cavs to had been able to pull of off still is impressive. -Finally, LeBron has forever been put in the top 5 greatest players of all time just because of this finals. And has always been the best player in the world. -I still can't believe the Cavs won this series. They had all the odds against them, but they did it.

He has the right to say he feels like he’s the greatest player ever, you don’t have to agree with him but he has earned the right to say it. I was born in 1980 so I grew up with watching Michael and I still believe Michael is better than EVERYONE but even I have to acknowledge the greatness of LeBron James.

  • I don’t want to hear shit about Bogut being injured. Last year Golden State didn’t have to face one starting point guard through the entire playoffs. The one game they did, they gave up 22 points to a hobbled Mike Conley. Also, in the finals against Cleveland, it took them six ‘CLOSE’ games to beat one man (Lebron). If Golden State gets full credit for last year’s championship without any negative caveats, then don’t throw shade at Cleveland for their victory.

  • That gray in LeBron's beard is the truest testament to the weight he's carried for the city of Cleveland. You don't get gray hairs at the age of 31, without some real pressure. Similar to how many Presidents are almost completely-grayed by the end of their stressful presidency, LeBron's carried his administration, if you will, for a long time. Since he was 17 years old, when you think about it. Can you imagine that? Carry an entire city's expectations for over 13 years, all your adult life. Perhaps even longer, since some in Cleveland watched him grow up as a prodigy in school, waiting for his growth with longing eyes.

    @SuperGamer87@SuperGamer878 жыл бұрын
    • By the way, while it's certainly easy to dismiss most GSW fans as "bandwagon," and probably to a large degree they are, but some of those folks simply aren't. GSW has had a loyal fan base before the swollen numbers and heightened interest surrounding Golden State. You have to account for some of them being true-blue longtime fans who themselves likewise experienced decades-long drought in sports before last year, and some just being folks who respect what greatness these Warriors have proven themselves to be. Because the Warriors lost, not because they're not great, but because they got a bit too comfortable being great and greatly underestimated other greatness. That's sorta' a good problem to have, moving forward. They can fix that problem, and losing takes care of half if it. Losing taught them respect. Losing will mature this Warriors team for the better, I think. Also, I'll point out that even among the general crowd, bandwagon fans or not, there were quite a number of folks in GSW jerseys giving LeBron and the Cavs a hand, as a show of sportsmanship. Sometimes, one just has to respect greatness when they see it.--esp. in such historical fashion. You wouldn't see that kind of behavior in, say, Madison Square Garden. I also liked seeing the number of GSW fans greeting their team after the loss. They know the Warriors are still a formidable team, and true fans are born through how you support your team during loss (esp. one as huge as this one). Even the Warriors didn't seem to take the loss as hard as you'd think, probably because it hadn't sank in yet at that point, but also probably in part because they know they'll see next year, with humbled but hungry again, and fans will be ready to support them. I rooted for the Cavs, and I congratulate them. But I just wanted to give a bit of respect to GSW and their fan base, just for showing some sportsmanship about their loss. I look forward to another great season of NBA basketball--one probably even more exciting than this year.

LeBron is great and I am happy he's done it again without the help of any big players. He changed an entire team just like he did in miami, This is Epic and I am proud to be a lebron fan(cavs)

  • I'm a Miami Heat fan, I liked LeBron when he was on the team, but when he left I hated him. I honestly hoped he never won a title in Cleveland, but this year as I saw the Warriors dominate, and the Cavs were pushed through obstacles and looked to have no chance, but I saw LeBron through that, I started to hate him less and like him more and more. When he went down 3-1 I saw the passion in his eyes, he's not MJ, Kobe, or Kareem, but he's a god damn legend, he's driven to do the impossible, and he did the impossible. He came back 3-1 to the greatest regular season team ever while playing on a Cleveland sports team. He just moved into the top 3 all time right behind MJ and Kobe.

Grew up with no father, by a single mother. Odds were stacked against him... To actually come in the NBA from day 1, and never took time off on wrecking the league. left the city to win titles somewhere else, then just to come back after and promised that he will bring a title to Cleveland that noone has done in more than 50+ years... To actually do it and deliver it... Man what a story!

In the regular season they kill it cause theres nothing to worry about but in the finals as the cavs dragged out the series to game 7 shit got real and the warriors cant do shit under pressure. But Lebron knows how to direct the team when shit hits the fan and as a result, cavs got the ring baby.
