Honestly I was leaning on Bivol winning as everyone was underestimating just how good he is. The light heavyweight division is Bivol’a division with Beterbiev being the boogeyman, yet Canelo’s star power really diminished Bivol’s legitimacy and tonight showed that. This was a great fight and the rematch is going to be even more action packed as Canelo is definitely going to switch his game plan and use a lot more boxing the second time around to set up his power shots rather than what he did tonight which just made no sense to me how Canelo threw nothing but power shots that clearly weren’t going to land through bivols fight guard and defense. Canelo visibly got tired in this fight because of throwing only haymakers while getting tagged constantly by bivols stuff jabs and occasional flurries of combos that were hard and fast lading multiple times on Canelo. This why I love boxing though. This will only give Canelo another opportunity to prove he is the best with the rematch now being viewed in a more equal judging ground as now people won’t underestimate Bivol which they shouldn’t have done so in the first place.

I had an argument with friends and family about weight classes, I told them size and natural weight definitely matters in this fight, they disagreed and some one even said Pacquiao in his prime could beat Tyson in his prime lol, I think Canelo should stay at 168 or even 160.
Size definitely had a little bit to do but not a whole lot bivol has stated he would go down to 168 and its fairly easy for him bivol fought an amazing fight and destroyed canelo but im not gonna say canelo deserved it or he sucked I respect him for taking the fight as this or beterbiev are the 2 hardest fights and I think its a good thing not just for him but for boxing as a whole
canelo has been a natural 175 even 180 pounder his whole career. He was +170 on the may weather fight night. Size was no issue for canelo, he wasn't phased by any of the punches. Bivol just exploited his weaknesses.
@@morale493 that's not how it works, I'm 6' 3" 210 pounds and when I train at a boxing gym the trainer says I would be a cruiser weight or a light heavyweight if I did fight, I would have to get in extremely good shape to fight and loose some pounds, , I would also have to loose water weight to get to 175 and then rehydrate to my normal weight of maybe 195 pounds, what canelo has being doing to be a 175 pounder is gain too much muscle, if he was slimmer he would be lighter, faster and have more endurance, at least is what everyone says at the boxing gym I go to. The other major factor was Bivols great distance awareness, he never let canelo get comfortable to get close to him, Bivol is also very humble and likeable, I'm glad they did not ban him because of the war
