Masha'Allah what a beautiful sermon by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. How I feel is that, pray is a form of conciliation of two distinctions, one knowing/praising Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Our Creator, two knowing/appreciating ourselves and exitance.
I like sheikh Hamza that I know and meet personally for the last 20+ years, but his relation and the relation of one of his sheikh, Abdullah bin Banyan with the UAE made me sad for him.
What happened?

My intention is to name and shame a particular figure who has externally acted and spoken in a way directly against the orthodox teachings of Islam with great influence who can potentially be a hazard to the iman of tens of thousands and needs to be warned against.
Amazing lecture i have learnt a lot of this.
jazak Allah Khair anxiety or 'Halaa' starts with the letter Ha which indicates a degree of unknown. and the word in Arabic, is very much your relation to the unknown that brings down your perspective ( letter Ain at the end). Security is about defining expectations and outcomes, and requires putting everything in limited boxes: schedules, costs, people, verses or Allah. Beyond known limits, models, or characteristics, an atheist would rush to a materialization, most probably by fear of the unknown and not for the sake of constructive knowledge. On the other hand the Moumineens have their trust in Allah, they accept that unknowns are to be expected and still make their way through .. some of them have traces on earth that are like white lines where water made its way with sedimentary red lines or a profound black that curves lines of light all around it to see beyond the horizon.

@@tylertrish909 There are secrets in Adam Bosoms. Not everyone is same like us. Meeting the scholars and Awliya can change lives of people in minutes. It can make them fall in Love with Allah and Beloved Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Your concern is ofcourse genuine, and it's against Haya. But the females who are engrossed in far worse, it's better for them to meet and benefit from the company of Mashaykh. The Mashyakh only can handle it, not us laymen. It's the Noor of Allah which saves us from Satanic Harms of communicating with the opposite gender due to necessity. Just like doctors can interact when it's really necessary. Similarly it's the matter of life and eternal death. The matter of Love. So let's leave the Capital Matters to Our Elders.

You ask where is the test if government forces you. Where is the test when Allah is forcing you by treathening you with hellfire? Is there really a choise? Are there souls who choose the right path if there was no day of judgement?
wrong ! god is not forcing you ....... you should realize it by your self. at the end you choose to follow the rules stated by god in the same way with the goverment where you can cross the law but if it catches you then you will pay for it. same thing with god, do whatever you want your not forced to follow but at the end you will pay if you didn't follow the rules lol

It seems from your sentence that your own connection with Qur'an and Hadith is very low, otherwise u must have an idea of how to abbreviate a scholar in the light of Qur'an and Hadith.

Alhamdulillah I watched his videos and it was beautiful.
I think you had mastered all the Arabic vocabulary and grammar and all the qawaid knowledges so you can read the Quran and Hadith by yourself. But me personally I haven't master all the knowledges so I need to refer to other that have mastered all of it to understand the quran and Hadith. If not who are teaching me while I'm not referring to them I afraid it was Satan?!
