  • Dimash will never limit himself to one genre. Especially pop. He’s more serious about music than being a pop idol. His background is more classical with quality composition but he enjoys occasional fun segues into contemporary fare. I love his penchant for broadening and exploring different avenues and aspects to music and song. He is not afraid to venture outside his own box. But he picks and chooses with great care and thought. Enjoy your reactions to Dimash and your commentary afterwards. All ages can appreciate this remarkable artist and young man. He’s a wonderment A miracle. A beautiful phenomenal gift to the planet.

  • Dimash is like a beautiful magic box, every time you open it, you will be surprised. It is wonderful, because you are never prepared for what you will see and hear, but what is certain is that you will love it. Thank you so much for your reaction.

  • Dimash composed this song as a tribute to his top idol MJ.

  • He's NOT taking a "new direction" it's just that Michael Jackson is one of his idols and this original song is a tribute to Michael in the style Michael would do it! It was something fun and whimsical for him to try out.

  • There's two things you have to realise with Dimash before you get the context of songs like this. 1. He's continually experimenting with music, he talks in interviews that his music shouldn't stay static, that it should grow and change with the years. 2. That this song is in the middle of an online concert where he tried to maintain the spirit of an actual concert as much as possible for the Dears during the pandemic. His concerts normally go on for at least 2.5 hours so he has to have some songs where it's not about the power house vocals and high notes, where he can take a vocal break and relax a little and also where he can lift the energy in the room and get people dancing and singing. Dimash concerts are nothing like you would expect them to be, they are extremely high energy, full of fun with a huge connection between him and the audience unlike anything you've ever seen before. You really need to see a concert performance to see what I mean. I would recommend reacting to All By Myself from the New York Arnau concert. It's a perfect example of how a power house song becomes a moment where he gets to connect with the audience and have fun at the same time.

  • It's not a new direction for him. He's had dance-pop songs in his repertoire since he was a teenager. You may not have seen them, but they're here on youtube. Personally, I prefer his neoclassical, romantic ballads, and ethnic music, but I support whatever he wants to do, as long as it makes him happy and keeps him from ever getting bored. He can do it all...and so he does.

  • Hi our singing guy. This is the real Dimash, the one he decided to be when he resigned singing opera to make pop songs. What happened was that his high quality took him to many other genres and he took advantage of those situations and learned to enjoy singing other stuff. As a non native speaker I tell you that English is not that easy as you may thing, mostly in those countries where they are not as exposed to the language after many years under the shadow of Soviet Union/Russia. And one pronounces in a way when singing by phonethics (better) and in another way when speaking and thinking one´s own meaning. A friend listened to me singing Kayleigh by Marillion thought that I mastered the scotish accent but no: I was simply imitating Fish´s accent

  • Dimash often gives that rush from his performances. When I watch this and other songs of his, I often run to Avi Kaplan to get my heart rate down. I love both of them for two totally different reasons.

    @kenhamaker@kenhamaker2 жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, something about it felt very 80's or 70's when I listened back to edit it. I didn't know it was MJ, but it makes sense since his career started in the 80's.
