I hate how people say every season of the Pokemon anime is a year because in a fictional universe where it takes years to animate with tons of planning time in real life is different one piece has been going on for 25+ years but in the story only 3 years have passed
I made a story on ash's father,I named him jake,now I know can't remember all my ideas anymore,but if the pokemon's not going to give us a reason why we never see ash's dad then,us fans have to do it,my story is that he travels all over the world as a famous businessman with his pokemon so he hardly has the time to even come home (I was going to make him abusive,but I quickly hated that idea,I didn't want ash's dad to abuse ash and just leave,yes it would make a great tragic story,but that's not for me,too dark for my taste)

I believe ash is 17 indigo league he say one year Johto special he is mentioned to be 11 and next special he say it been one year when he go to Hoenn it seems to be summer next 50 eps later it snows and the Hoenn league happens after winter and ash birthday is in march so he's 13 during hoenn league next in Sinnoh it seems warn so likely still summer and 100 episodes its snowing in snowpoint city so winter and then 7th to 8th badge its warm in Sinnoh especially in sunnyshore city so march meaning ash is now 14 and Sinnoh league a couple months later summer and next in Pokemon black and white ash go to unova deer Pokemon change Pelt's during season change it spring deer when ash go to unova and at end of unova series summer form meaning ash turns 15 in unova next in Kalos in early episodes there are plants that only grow in winter so it is winter in Kalos next Kalos league warm so it's march or April ash now 16 and Alola likely happens that may-august and journeys that spring or summer ash wearing shorts and thin clothing mean ash is 17 year old

So it's been 20 years in one piece manga chapters come out a week and 43-49 a year but it takes weeks and months and preplanning to draw even a chapter of one manga so year Luffy is 40 years old
You are wrong, There were elections in pokemon in one episode a mayor is shown he tries to get rid of his bulbasaur.. In the Mystery Menace episode(Orange leagye series) so that means elections exists

Ash just don't age because it's hard to do such thing if you have keep creating episodes without any plan to end the anime. lol Check the Ashless Pokemon anime with the green cat... the character ages because the anime has a timeline, a start, a middle and an end... lol Cubone w/ Marowak... nobody told the Marowak was it's biological mother. lol The leak, clotches, baby... probably just to make it easier to create the game... imagine you needing to hunt clothes/leaks for your eggs. lol About Arceus... the plot hole works like in most religions. lol...
