  • Gukesh is 17 years old. 17. And with nerves of steel. The level of zen is off the charts. This tournament has been long and arduous with maximum pressure all the time. It's amazing that you can be a young lion with all the edge and yet so calm and collected throughout. amazing. no wonder he's such a super star in his home country.

    • @@mikejulz87 if gukesh draws with naka, then nepo and fabi needs to draw, if gukesh wins, then the result of other match will not matter. and if gukesh draws or loose, and other nepo fabi results in decisive victory , then gukesh is out.

    • False. If Gukesh wins, it's over, he wins the candidates. So no, the winner of Fabi - Nepo guarentees a tiebreak ONLY if Gukesh doesn't win, and Gukesh is guaranteed a tiebreak only with a draw.

Fide format needs really a change..for example : Top 5 SGM with the highest Elo rating after December or January automatic seeded & # 6 to 10 who wins the Grand Chess tour, Tata Steel & World Cup would make the last 3 slots of the candidates
