  • If it wasn't original i would ditch that horrible 396.I owned a 68 Chevelle from highschool until my early 20s definitely the best looking year in my opinion.Cant wait for the market to bottom out on these in 20 years so I can buy one again at a reasonable price...I paid 3500 for mine in 97

    • You might want to save your pennies. I don't think the muscle car market will bottom out because there are fewer and fewer cars such as this, as well as rollers. This is an answer I received when I asked ChatGpt4 your question: Predicting the future value of muscle cars over the next 20 years involves a mix of current trends, historical data, and speculation about future interests, technology, and economic conditions. Here are several factors that could influence their value, both positively and negatively: 1. **Historical Appreciation**: Classic muscle cars have historically appreciated in value, especially well-maintained models with original parts and limited production runs. This trend could continue if the demand for vintage cars remains high among collectors. 2. **Cultural Significance**: Muscle cars hold a special place in automotive history, especially in American culture. Their representation in media, nostalgia, and the enthusiast community's passion could sustain or increase their value. 3. **Technological Shifts**: The automotive industry is rapidly shifting towards electric vehicles (EVs) in response to environmental concerns and regulations. This could make gasoline-powered cars, including muscle cars, either more desirable due to rarity and nostalgia or less desirable due to increased operating costs and environmental concerns. 4. **Regulatory Changes**: Environmental regulations, including restrictions on gasoline vehicles or emissions standards, could impact the usability and desirability of muscle cars. Regions with strict regulations might see a decrease in value due to reduced usability, while in other areas, they may become more coveted. 5. **Economic Factors**: The broader economy plays a significant role in collectible values. Economic downturns can reduce disposable income and thus demand for luxury items like collectible cars. Conversely, in strong economies, collectibles often see a surge in value. 6. **Generational Shifts**: Interest in muscle cars could fluctuate with generational shifts. Younger generations may not have the same attachment to muscle cars as older generations. However, a resurgence in interest can happen as younger people inherit or become interested in the nostalgia and performance of these vehicles. Given these factors, a reliable prediction would require a detailed analysis of current trends, including collector preferences, technological developments, and economic forecasts. While muscle cars have the potential to continue appreciating, especially rare and well-maintained models, external factors such as environmental regulations and shifts in cultural trends could impact their future value. Investing in muscle cars, like any collectible, carries risk, and values can fluctuate. Potential investors should conduct thorough research and consider their personal interest and attachment to these vehicles, not just the potential financial return. 😜

    • @@musclecarswitheric This is true but given the state of the pre 60s values and trends I like to be positive and think that alot of the new generation wants more JDM cars and 80s and 90s vehicles.Time will tell if this new generation will want muscle or even care . But either way I got a sweet 69 Camaro when my Pops passes hopefully many years from now.

    • Well, that goes up against the muscle cars talked about on this channel. I hope you get your 69, but not too soon. Cheers@@Troy-McClure81
