  • Oh man there were so many oh shit moments in this game. I don't know how many times I stopped dead in my tracks just to take it all in. The scale is seriously mind blowing.

  • I have no interest in playing Dark Souls or any Souls-type of games, and I think we can agree that Souls-type are not for everyone, myself included.

  • I subscribed to you the moment I saw In the mind of : Doomguy and you're one of my favorite game reviewers now. No nonsense, no bullshit, straight up great review! Just like how a friend would convince you but in much more coherent and greater detail. Never liked FromSoftware games but holy hell have you convinced me! Speaking of Doomguy will you do a doom eternal vid? :D

  • My bro, if you liked this music, think out of 3 Dark Souls games, third one is gonna make you really remember each fight just from the music alone :D

    • The music in all of these games, at least the ones I've tried, have all been sheer ART. So I'm absolutely excited to listen for the DS3 tracks.

  • Personally, I don't love these games but compared to most games I do like them a lot more. skill based gameplay is probably my favorite in all of gaming, especially when it's like a character action game with tons of frame specific horseshit going in combat (DMC for example). Thing I always hate in these games is the rpg systems (stats, builds, equipment, etc) it just makes things unbalanced. Since the game heavily employs that certain areas, bosses, etc are designed with a vague idea of what the player might have or what level they might be, it ends up not being curated enough to have that feeling of "dancing on the enemy's rhythm". It's definitely doable but it can't be designed that way because there's too many variables the devs have to account for which is my main gripe. Even if you have a grip on the fight, how well you'll do is still heavily impacted by your build and equipment. In stark contrast with this, Sekiro doesn't have any of those issues because it was designed with what you can do given the much more limited offensive and defensive capabilities. There's no builds, no equipment, just some utility items and the rest of the combat is entirely skill dependent. Do I wish it had more variety in combat options? Yes but it should be balanced well and kept limited like 3 more weapon choices, ranged capabilities, frame specific offensive moves (something like parry but offensive). Overall, my personal list would be: Bloodborne Sekiro Elden ring Ds 3 Ds 1 Ds 2 D's

  • dark souls 3 is the easiest to get into. elden ring just has too much shit going on

    • Well, I haven't tried DS3 yet, but it is on my list.

      @KingJGrim@KingJGrim2 жыл бұрын
    • @@KingJGrim honestly, i loved elden ring in my first 60 hours. then from 60 to 100 hours i just swooped all the dungeons prior to the golden city and tried to do other optional shit. at this point i really started to hate this game for a lot of reasons: asset reuses, the lack of proper faith incantations, fucking huge open areas, npc questlines, boss balances and ect. after finishing elden ring, i booted up ds3 and had a time of my life. still such a great game after all these years elden ring is just too overrated for me. i think that this is because of our current day low standarts. especially in the open world genre

      @XZD13@XZD132 жыл бұрын
    • @@XZD13 weirdly enough i played ds 3 again after elden ring and all i was thinking was just. why not play elden ring. build variety pretty much is nonexistened and there is no replayability in ds 3 as all it is, is jsut a street. every time it will be the same and the difficulty is not much higher as every soulsgame will get easier after the first time to play and difficulty is not all. ontop of that i forgot how ugly ds 3 is.

  • I actually hate fromsoft games. I prefer true Action-RPG games like Final Fantasy XV and Skyrim along with Character Actions like Devil May Cry. But maybe I will give this game another chance. But not today definitely :)
