"You get a little cte, then go back to the huddle and do it again"😂😂
Head still ringing, didnt hear the call, fck it, go route.
😂😂😂
Facts 😅
Facts! 😂
You think CTE starts in NFL? It starts in elementary school while your brain is still developing.
The NBA players would want 6 bye weeks for load management. 😂😂
The NBA is 82 games the BFL is 17 and you have a week off in between games
@@DanielRidoredumbest comment of the week 🏆
@@miken29687 second plays … a lot of down time in football
@@DanielRidorenba players miss games off being sore nfl players play unless they absolutely can’t have u played a football games u be sore for long af I played 5 basketball games In a row I don’t think any nba player can take more than one helmet to helmet hit
@@miken2968 Lol what are you even talking about. I literally stated facts. Casual
This is an all-time epic rant 😂
It really is!!!!
Chris has been waiting his life for this moment 😂😂😂
And he nailed it!
😂😂
I don’t think Austin appreciates the level of violence in the NFL
@siniister710 for real, I talked to some guys who played in the NFL back in the day and asked how hard the hits were and they basically compared it to being in a 25 mph car crash. That’s a lot of crashes for a career
Austin River says: " stops listening after I hear that name"
Please don’t with this violence shit cause I’m pretty sure you’re one those guys saying they don’t let nfl players hit anymore, the nfl is getting very soft it’s not a violent game how it once was they just banned a form of tackling cmon now 🤣🤦🏽♂️
@@almonjoseph4382you’re delusional
@@almonjoseph4382 what NBA player is blocking Chris jones or beating Quentin Nelson 1 on 1?
I didn't know Chris Long dropped heat like this 😂😂
😭😭😭😭😭😭
"What a pro wants? What a pro needs?"
💯
😭😭😭😭😭😭 that shit sums it all up.
That summed up everything the nba
Always makes me happy when Bob Sanders gets mentioned. Dude was an animal. Playing at 90% woulda got him an extra year or two in the league. But that wasn’t Bob.
One of my favorite players of that era only with Reed, Troy, wilfork, Jared Allen, the Williams Wall(Pat and Kevin)
It was definitely NOT Bob
My favourite Colt for his short epic run in Indy. He just looked so damn cool flying all over the place!
Nick Wright shouted this rant out on First Things First. Tell'um Chris
LOL, Thats why I searched for it
Training camp is the ultimate x factor Aron Donald retired because of Training camp
“Come on Cletus” lmao 😂
That “C’mon Cletus!” @ 5:50 got me good! I wasn’t expecting to hear Chris Long of all people to give a quote from the Nutty Professor 😂
"It ain't nothing but a short walk..."
I fuccin lost it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Bunch of mf playing in Stan countries 😂😂😂" I'm here to stay
The comments about Bob Sanders got a good laugh out of me 😂
“Prolly can’t even turn his neck” 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣
He's gonna turn that 8 foot wing into lieutenant Dan. 😂
@@kennyfit9877 that was a cold line 😭
This was a great response. The NBA is a country club.
You ever heard Barkley talk about this he's a big NFL fan and he said there's absolutely no way these NBA players could do this s***
Yeah he has a story where he participates in practice, gets hit and thinks "This is NOT it"
Iverson said the opposite.
Allen Iverson, even as undersized as he was in the NBA, was a star Running back in high school lol
@@pinheadlarry3992 quarterback.
@@dalecarson645 oh really? I thought he was a running back, he was probably a quarterback that ran alot then hahaha
This Chris is my favorite Chris 😂😂. My man goes OFFFFFFF.
I got an above ground hot tub. I've never heard that in context of how much money I don't have or didn't make LOL😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lieutenant dan line had me ☠️
Now we know which button lights up Chris Long.
yeah… spoiled entitled dumb commenting guys
5:45 … “Come ‘on Cletus!” … hilarious!!!
"sh*t ain't sweet!" 😂😂😂 I'm weak!! Austin Rivers got a well deserved Ethering on this one. Well done Chris. 👏👏👏
Holy shit this is the best Chris Long content I have ever seen 😂
Since his arrival in the NBA, people have always said that, LeBron James has the frame of a TE… Putting K.D. In the slot= him folded up like a camping table….😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
99% of basketball players’ bodies aren’t built right for football. It’s not just mass either. Lifting weights doesn’t change your bone structure. I wouldn’t want to see what would happen to these guys legs when a lineman fell on them 🫣
“I got an above ground hot tub” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol, the tough guy of the nba draymond green looked like a make a wish kid when he tried to play football at Michigan St. Get 22 nba players and do a full padded scrimmage vs 22 NFL players and watch the game end in a white flag in the 2nd quarter.
😂
2nd quarter is generous lol
@@stevenshepherd9660 exactly lol
But you guys are speaking to the toughness. If you have those guys enough time I’m sure their mentality would adapt to being tough. They are in a none contact sport so ofcourse they won’t seem tough. If being a football player is just about being tough then he’s right. Because most sport is about skill which is harder to teach than being tough
@@tomstorm7926 It's not about the toughness. It's about having the skill to be hit and not fold, part of the skill is being able to take violent hits or deliver them. Boxing is not just about punching, it's knowing how, when to punch and how to dodge and take punches. What you call just toughness it an actual skill in contact sports.
Love the passion in this convo!
Brock Lesnar couldn't make an nfl roster but he was a champion in ufc years later
It's crazy that Jon Jones is going to go down as the GOAT in UFC, while his brother Chandler was simultaneous a perennial Pro Bowl DE and got All-Pro consideration a few times. Those family genetics are insane
And Arthur jones played DT for the ravens the 3rd of the brothers
Brock was a legitimate actual wrestler, not just the fake wwe shit.. not sure what point you are trying to make is. Brock didn’t make the nfl because he didn’t know the game of football.. look what happened to Greg hardy and Johnny Morton, how’d it work out for those guys?
@findawaytowin2968 his point is even someone as great as brock could not cut it in the nfl...... It's a diff breed.... he knew the rules he just could not cut it
Brock was the final cut and the wanted him to go overseas to develop..he had never played football .he would been great after a season of learning
U didn't mentioned Peppers... I'm with u brotha 😂😂😂😂😂
"Austin Rivers your trippin man!" 🤣
another example of why i love chris. this guy speaks his mind and does it in an enjoyable and well-articulated way. keep it up boss
That was amazing! Just found this pod thanks to Austin lol. Always loved Jake! Was on my eagles i believe?
I'm suddenly reminded of the basketball players that would occasionally pop off at us wrestlers who had to cross their court to get to our wrestling room. Only once did one of those dudes come up to show us "pussies" what "real practice" looked like. I'll give him credit, he only puked once, and got all the way through single-leg takedown drills before he said fuck it.
lol…when going to basketball practice in high-school the wrestlers used to try to coax us down to the “mats” …. I made that mistake one day. Those f&ckers were crazy 😂
Nah, I played rugby and football in high school and wouln't even step foot in a gym that had wrestling practice going on. Just looking at you guys made my stomach turn. Respect.
H.S Football Coach was a College Wrestler. Football players either ran track or had to Wrestle in offseason. I had 155 lb cornerbacks I abused all season salivating to get us 180 - 210 LB players on the Mat 😂😂😂 It's not easy to cross sports Rivers and others don't know because they were the first wave of AAU BBall specialists they have no clue
We used to just shake our heads at the wrestling team running through the gym at basketball practice... wrestlers are freaking gnarly. Football, wrestling and track were for one set of athletes, basketball and baseball were the combo for the other kind of jocks. Chris had it right with training camp shutting down any wannabe football players
"2%".....!!......*awkward pause*....... "I gotta talk to my lawyers first.... " 😂😂😂
We needed this side of the argument Chris!! Thank you!
Bro this is awesome thank you
This man...🤌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾THIS....MAN!!!!🤣💀🤣💀"COME ON CLEATUS!!" I been a fan but now HE CAN DO NO WRONG IN MY EYES!!!! S/O TO HOWIE DAMMIT!!!
I Agree Chris 💯💯👍🏾And I also agree with Sheed who said no one wants to take those Hits. And let Charles Barkley educate Austin about this topic. Charles told Jason and Travis he tried playing football 🏈 in College.Charles said hell no. And he meant that. He said that’s why he went to Basketball 🏀. So Austin you might want to rethink that
Listen...NBA All-Star break is right after the Super Bowl. Cut the Pro-Bowl and have a crossover event. Flag football game. Basketball scrimmage. I'd pay attention to that.
Brilliant! Pay attention? I'd pay to see it, honestly
Micah Parson and CJ Stroud were actually in the celebrity game at NBA all star, pretty decent. Puka Nacua, too.
@@calebwhitcraft1664Those guys were average.
YES! This is the answer right here
Stan countries! You are a legend!
KD Fred Warner match up is crazy
Did he say “Lieutenant Dan?” 🤣
Chris, you said everything i would of said if i was in your position 😂😅
Austin struck a CHORD with Chris, lmao. man wants to see rivers in training camp PRONTO

That's for making this craziest funny as Hell. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Russell Westbrook is 100% psycho enough to be an nfl guy lol
Subscribed. You're hilarious, Chris. I did NBA photographer for 10 years... Maybe I can be the Lefkoe to your Shaq.
I bet the "C'mon Cletus!" line made your subscription mandatory!!😂😂
Austin Rivers just got eviscerated
This needs to go viral OMG I was laughing and crying so hard. I had to pull my car over
You snapped 🤣🤣😂
If anyone ever wanted an example of a Strawman Argument, this is a pretty good one. Chris taking a weakened version of what Austin said and picking it apart. Austin said that he thinks there are 30 NBA players who could make an NFL roster. Chris' response: "Well if it so easy why are there tall skinny post-college players who don't shoot well enough for the NBA going to play in Uzbekistan for $50k instead of playing for the Steelers?"
There are Kyle Pitts’ all over the NBA that’s exactly what Austin is saying 😂😂😂😂
You're right about that commercial played during NBA games ad nauseam. It literally makes me hate that culture. How's the community of Oakland, California doing these days?
This rant is amazing. Every bit of it.
I know I'm late.....But I just became a huge fan!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pretty spot on... Austin overstated but like Chris said you could find some that could be developed into NFL players but the physicality and like he said the workload probably guarantees they wouldn't stick.
“Cmon cleetus” lmao
This is CLASSIC!!!!
Chris is the fucking best, love this show. . Austin out here talking like Bo and Deion were normal. Talking like a "contact" sport like it's the same as a collision sport is hilarious
"One of these stan countries." Chris Long this is your Netflix stand-up comedy special. 😂
I do have a cousin that did play TE and Power Forward and Small Forward in college? He's now in the NBA.
Antonio Gates, Mo Allie Cox, Tony Gonzales
Factual...and absolutely hilarious.
"Bob Sanders probably cant even turn his neck" is crazy lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 bro this hilarious
Brilliant!
Lmfao this shit was gold chris
Here is my take; NFL teams on those 53 man rosters have 3 things they have to be able to do. 1) Learn the play book. 2) Study the opposing teams film. 3) Be able to run your routes, and know your playbook.
I like this This is the first time me seeing you do your thing I like it
“Put KD in the slot … Fred Warner is gonna fold him like one of those camping tables” 😂😂😂 That had me rolling.
“I can’t turn my neck sideways”😂😂
This is so good
👏👏👏👏👏👏 freaking awesome CL
This is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn!!!! Chris went there😂🤣
Best take so far ... Bruh said what a pro wants what a pro needs.. I gotta listen to this shit for 3 mins lol
Biggest thing isn’t the athleticism and size, it’s that football gladiator mentality and then physicality and paint over time that I don’t think a lot of the basketball players could handle
I agree with you as a guy who played high school basketball and football trust me football is way more harder for us basketball!
“Three massage therapists” 🤣
I played center and DT in high school. While playing center, I broke my wrist...MY SNAPPING WRIST!! Coach basically said, "too bad. We don't have anyone else to play center. Snap with your other hand!" Lmfao that mfer had me finish out the game snapping left-handed and blocking DTs with one hand! Basketball? Man I could jam my index finger and get the night off. Cmon now
Chris speaks fax
I have seen more NFL teams draft Basketball player then NBA drafting NFL players. Jimmy Graham(Miami), Julius Peppers(NC), Antonio Gates(Kent state), Donovan McNabb(Syracuse), Antwaan Randle El(Indiana), Terrell Owens(Tennessee Chattanooga),Tony Gonzalez(California),Vincent Jackson(Northern Colorado), Martellus Bennett(Texas A&M).
Keep seeing comments talking about what someone played in HS and college. Big difference. It's Pro vs Pro, and the problem with NBA players is that they have been conditioned to be Charmin soft. No NBA player is going back out after breaking ribs, collar bones or separating a shoulder. None. They may have been tough at a younger age, but generally, one you get soft, you stay soft. Coddling in the NBA starts at day 1. And neither NFL or NBA player could hang in the NHL.
Most point correct. I’d push back on Steven adams. He grew up playing rugby similar to Jordan mailata but he’s more athletic. He wouldn’t be a tackle though. I’d put him on defence.
Yo this man cooked🔥🔥
Tell em Chris !!!!!!!!! 💪💪💪
Come on Cletus 😂😂😂😂
He not lying and he is hilarious 😂
I said this from the beginning, nba players would not even last an NFL camp, let alone a full nfl season.
It’s two different aspects of physicality. One is full contact and one is collision. One is stop and go, one is constant up and down. But the NBA guys would mostly be playing skill positions that don’t face as much contact as the guys in the trenches. NFL guys who aren’t skill positions tend to be much bigger and the NBA guys tend to be slimmer and more athletic.
I played pickup basketball at the gym with Marion Barber III while he was in high school and his physicality was different even then
