    • But you guys are speaking to the toughness. If you have those guys enough time I’m sure their mentality would adapt to being tough. They are in a none contact sport so ofcourse they won’t seem tough. If being a football player is just about being tough then he’s right. Because most sport is about skill which is harder to teach than being tough

      @tomstorm7926@tomstorm792613 күн бұрын
    • @@tomstorm7926 It's not about the toughness. It's about having the skill to be hit and not fold, part of the skill is being able to take violent hits or deliver them. Boxing is not just about punching, it's knowing how, when to punch and how to dodge and take punches. What you call just toughness it an actual skill in contact sports.

  • Keep seeing comments talking about what someone played in HS and college. Big difference. It's Pro vs Pro, and the problem with NBA players is that they have been conditioned to be Charmin soft. No NBA player is going back out after breaking ribs, collar bones or separating a shoulder. None. They may have been tough at a younger age, but generally, one you get soft, you stay soft. Coddling in the NBA starts at day 1. And neither NFL or NBA player could hang in the NHL.

  • I said this from the beginning, nba players would not even last an NFL camp, let alone a full nfl season.

  • It’s two different aspects of physicality. One is full contact and one is collision. One is stop and go, one is constant up and down. But the NBA guys would mostly be playing skill positions that don’t face as much contact as the guys in the trenches. NFL guys who aren’t skill positions tend to be much bigger and the NBA guys tend to be slimmer and more athletic.

  • I played pickup basketball at the gym with Marion Barber III while he was in high school and his physicality was different even then
