  • There's a good chance Ali saved Edmen's career - at least short term. He's previously said that the first thing Ali told him was that he wouldn't book a fight for Shahbazyan the first 7-8 months and just wanted Edmen to improve, before they even think of him fighting. I believe that was a smart move.

  • As an Armenian living in Glendale I have met Edmen and he’s genuinely a nice kid. He needed a change of scenery and getting away from distractions. Hopefully this move works out for him.

    • You gotta understand he had trained there since he was a kid. My friend used to teach judo there and I remember seeing him back when he was a young teenager. He saw it was time to move on and thankfully he did. Hope this works out for him because he is a genuinely nice kid.

  • I like Edmen, but it rarely ends well when fighters start talking about "2.0". See Reyes recently. But I hope getting away from Mr. head movement will help him. He seemed crazy talented in his first few fights.
