They METHED up!
You beat me to it!
I bought a house I can’t afford that’s filled with meth…. I want to buy more properties 😂 do these people listen to themselves speak?
Yeah, no common sense these days... at least sell the meth to cover the expenses 👍
She 100% got scammed, hardcore. None of that work needed to be done to the house for someone using. The company she went to just yoinked $60k from this woman.
Seriously, there was a scam done and it wasn't really the lady that sold it. If anything a cleaning company should've come in and taken care of it. Of course a builder or whatever she used said let's start fresh and make some money 😂
They were probably cooking
"Buying this house I can't really afford turned out poorly, how can I buy more houses I can't afford?" Are people just trying to their way out of bad situations?
sounds like selling at a loss and trying to make up for it with volume
Too much Meth, not enough Math..
As a home inspector myself there is no way to know for sure if there was meth use in a house. They came down pretty hard on something they are not familiar with!
Considering home inspectors don't know shit about houses your statement is moot.
@meateater4life551 well that was a broad brush statement that seems anecdotal. Who hurt you?
@@TabbsCubesProbably a home inspector
@@jorgealvarado7946Or an inspectors husband 😂
As a former home inspector, one of the reasons I got out of the business is people not reading our contract and the extreme limitations of things you can find in 2-3 hours. If it’s covered, concealed, hidden etc. It’s not the inspectors fault she got the police report after she settled. That’s how she found out. Do people expect inspectors to contact police and review police reports? Bottom line is if there was no visible evidence of drug use prior to settlement (as she admitted to) then not the inspectors fault.
The remediation company fleeced her. Unless there was a lab there this sounds a bit extreme
Just repaint the whole shit and all new appliances thats all, no need to do that much work
About 2:00 she states that the previous owner was using, not making. A quick search found an article from New Zealand that says using meth in a house generally is not much of an issue. An AP story about Utah says "If the swabs test positive at a lab for more than 1 microgram of meth per 100 square centimeters, state law requires the house should be cleaned and decontaminated." Bath rooms are typically high contamination areas. They rip out carpets because carpet is really porous and babies have a lot of skin contact with carpet. Walls and ceilings are scrubbed three times. Ducts are cleaned with chemicals. A lot of furniture is broken up and buried, so no one takes it from the curb and reuses it. It generally takes 14 days to clean a 2000 sqft home.
100% TRUE! Too bad she didn't have a wiser friend / family member to PREVENT this scam they dropped on her!
@@damondiehl5637 1 mcg per 1 square m is way over exaggerated for the cleaning bull lol 1 mcg is so little to the point neglitable
@@damondiehl5637hey thanks for that
Sounds like you better call Saul! XD
Lmao! Funny thing is Saul is probably the one who sold her the house!
“I just thought some allowance was in order once I heard about the meth lab. The one that used to be in the basement…”
"I just unknowingly bought a crack house as my primary residence. I'm ready to start borrowing money and buying more homes and become an amateur landlord." Great plan, girl.
It’s a METH house, crack housewife don’t require remediation. Sorry🤷🏾♀️
Lol my thought exactly
"landlord" is code for "drug dealer"
Something is off with this woman
She probably just wants a remodled house .
VICTIM.
yeah, she "did her due dilligence" and found out about nearly $100k of damages AFTER buying a meth-den and somehow none of it is her fault? I understand fixer-uppers but it sounds like she bought it sight-unseen making calls and relying on others thinking she was getting a heck of a deal on a property nobody else wanted.
Enlighten us Sherlock
She probably smoked the meth
For some reason, I thought this call would be from Jesse in Albuquerque.
Lmao!! One of my favorite shows!
Haha nice
Same here 😂
Best show ever! Breaking bad
Where’s my money 😂
Did they not notice the giant hole in the ceiling from the bathtub falling through?

I'm not sure about in the USA, but here in New Zealand building inspections usually just cover the physical conditions of the building, with methamphetamine and toxicology testing being separate services.
my mom had a miscarraige after helping clean a livingroom at a old home bound ladies house.m..turns out lady had a deadbeat son making meth in basement...that stuff is no joke and she shoulent live in it and nobody should live in it
You just pulled that out of your butt.
Omg!!!
This whole remediation thing seems a bit extreme. It sorta looks like she dramatized it to get a free house remodel by using the "settlement" funds.
Wahmen... they'll do anything for a remodel job
Who told her this "remediation" had to be done? This sounds like her neurosis combined with a contractor who saw her coming.
This was good for me to hear, I am in the 800s but I panic when it dips (dental work, etc) and o need to remember it will sort itself out
I am former addict in silicon valley. You would be surprised how many homes are meth homes....
Why would you need to tear apart the whole house? She wasn't cooking it.
As we all know people on meth think very rationally and clearly. I'm sure it all made sense in the moment 😂
@@janelleg597 That did not answer my question.
Something similar happened to my uncle's nextdoor neighbor. They had to tear down the whole house and completely rebuild it.
Lol some people are gullible
The inspector would know nothing about this. What makes them think that they would know?
U cant smell meth and home inspectors dont need to access the paper work or anything
It for sure is not on the home inspector. It may be something that you could approach the seller about if the disclosures were not accurate.
@@TabbsCubes There is no disclosure about previous drug use in the house lol This woman was taken to the cleaners by the "remediation company". I've sold houses that absolutely had drugs in them, some visible during the showings. The buyers hired normal cleaners and bam the house was fine. To say that you needed an entire kitchen model because of someone using meth is one of the wildest things I've heard. She absolutely did not receive $50,000 from the seller.
@kameronminyardrealtor no but if you could prove that the seller knew and chose not disclose. I realize that may be tough to prove. More likely I would put the blame on the township if they had police reports that were not tied to the property. Also if the police reports had been disclosed to the seller I believe that is something that has to be along with the discloser docs.
@@TabbsCubesreal estate agents aren’t allowed to violate the fair housing act. While being a criminal isn’t covered under the protected classes, most real estate contracts have verbiage that says we aren’t allowed to mention things involving crime because it can lead to discrimination. It’s on the buyer to do their due diligence which is as simple as googling the address. As a seller it’s helpful to be open and honest on a property disclosure about the questions asked. Lying can lead to lawsuits down the road if you were to withhold information about known issues. But it’s related to the house, like if it has ever had flood damage or a fema flood claim, electrical or plumbing issues that required repair, roof or foundation issues. Even then it’s extremely hard to prove they had knowledge of prior issues unless you happen to hire the same contractor. It happened to me on my personal home with a collapsed drain field and I randomly got the same company and same driver who pumped out the septic tank right before closing. He showed me the quote they had given the sellers which would have given me enough proof to sue them. But disclosure are not on the owners or tenants criminal history.
She said that first sentence so fast like she was hoping they didn't hear what she said. This is one of those times where Dave would have said, "You drove by that so fast . . . "
Ramsey show straight up surprised me today 😂😂😂
The title is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
This is why you cook in a camper. Easy to get rid of the evidence.

These title gett’n wild.
OMG! Jade's face at :20!!
She should have just given everything a fresh coat (or 2) of paint, and totally encapsulate it. The meth isn't going to grow little claws and dig it's way to the surface! She was gullible and got taken advantage of by scare tactics from the "remediators".
They stripped the house after she purchased it.
There may be a legal requirement to strip and rebuild the walls once it is known by police that the house had meth users and they lab-tested the meth levels.
that is what I was thinking. That happens all the time. @@bentonja668
Are there one time use kits that home shoppers, real estate agents, home inspectors can use to test surfaces for meth or other nasty stuff.
The amount of people that call this show asking how to pay off debt, then revealing halfway through the call that they have double the amount sitting in an account, is absurd
My mortgage was initially way more than 50% of my income and it shouldn't be a deal breaker. If you know what your expenses are, you know what you can afford. I had a frugal couple of years before my income went up but still totally doable. Glad I did too. At the time I think I bought the cheapest, non-meth house in my city. Now prices have gone through the roof, the value of my house has doubled in the 14 years I've had it. I'm hoping to pay it off this year. I do feel for young people starting out. I don't think I'd be able to get in the market with where prices are now.
She shoulda Called Saul.
Another tik tok I want to rent and buy more house

George said, Not having a kitchen or a livable house is NOT an emergency. Leave your money looking pretty in a bank account while you live in these conditions 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀 These Ramsey people are crazy 🙄😡
Right it can be very dangerous not to fix conditions in a former drug house.
Is it unforeseen? No. So it's not an emergency. You chose to buy the house in that state
Betitos11 No, the crazy person was the buyer who bought the house. Quit blaming other people that didn't buy the damn house😂😂
@@thisguy7201 - Yeah she didn't have the reports or whatever it was but now that she is there its better to quickly do the repairs than to have the useless funds sitting in an account. How about do the repairs to make it a useable kitchen then build up the emergency fund
Ive never heard of HAVING to completely remodel just because the previous owner did drugs... presumably if it was that trashed or dangerous? She wouldn't have bought it...
I wasn't aware of this situation either, but it's my understanding that they have to gut homes that have remnants of meth. If the seller is aware, it has to be disclosed. It's common knowledge amongst police officers, real estate brokers, and individuals who have been placed in similar situations.
Credit scare does affect insurance rates and job opportunities as well.
It's aggravating since the logic the insurance companies ect are using are bass-asckwards as clearly we are their most responsible, accountable customers. I've just had to tell myself it's just a "I don't play with bankers" fee and try to move on.

What exactly would the home inspector be looking for in order to know someone was smoking meth in the house? Both hosts have bought houses before... why are they acting so shocked? Hello?
They act like there would be bottles of industrial cleaner and beakers strewn about 😂
Came to say the same thing. Like an inspector is a wizard who can walk into a house and sense that meth was used here at one point in time.
24 hour air draw through a filter and sent to a lab. ????? We use it to measure micro-pharmaceuticals in the air. I pay ~ $2K for a "full" inspection. Like, thermography camera for "hot spots in the walls", videotaped sewer lines inspections, verification of City ties.
You can’t have them anymore. Blackstone and Wall Street pay in cash and waive inspections so you are forced to forgoe them now
See if you can bring over some business from his old client roster for some extra income 👍👌

This call sounds fake. No way can a property be sold after inspection and "due diligence" and then need to be completely gutted because (?) somebody smoked crack in it?! Bull.
Yeah I went to a house that had a really strange smell and guess what I never bought.... Truth is if I think there is a problem why buy that house?
Yeah, I just looked it up. Remediation is anywhere from $4600-$20,000 and it's at the seller's cost. While it is consider a stigmatized home, she has the ability to easily resolve this issue. She should be happy that she found out and received compensation .
"My first experience buying a home was such a success that I ended up buying a crack house, so that means I should try my hand at buying additional houses, correct??" 😅😅💀
I’ve seen this episode of family guy before
Repeat clip?
She should not only sue the previous owner she should sue the inspection company for being dumb and missing something so huge.
If she didn't know it was a meth house, she should have gotten more than what she did for remediation from them. They could (and should) go to prison for selling that hazard and obscuring it (presumably). So why'd she settle for so little?
I'd imagine that the $60k is all that she could get (maybe its the value of the house). I doubt the previous owner has any money at all.
probably cause lawyers aren't cheap and taking these things to court costs a lot of money, therefore some people aren't willing to take cases like this to court to avoid legal expenses.
Taking this to count needs a whole 9 yards of documents to PROOF the intensity of meth is actually harmful and IF the seller has the obligation to tell the buyer they did meth( personal privacy )
$60K sounds like more than plenty for the ‘harm’ that comes from living in a house where people previously smoked meth
I've heard of people walking away from homes that had undisclosed issues like this.
I bet dave could cook the finest of sugar candy if he wanted to
Sugar candy? I thought it was nose candy!

I'm not a financial advisor. I'm really good with numbers. Ramsey will tell you at least 20% and a payment you can afford that is less than 25% of your take home pay with a 15 year loan. If you can do better than that. Even better. The best option is 100% cash. But it's not always reasonable for people. Your down payment should make your loan payment less than 25% according to Ramsey. So whatever percentage of a dow payment is the minimum you should shoot for. I think that is a great starting advice. The thing i like to tell people is home ownership is extremely expensive. It's a nuclear bomb to your finances. If you pay 1k rent. And your looking at a house with a 1k mortgage. They aren't in any way the same thing. Unless you get extremely lucky. I recommend calculating a break even point. If your current living situation remains mostly unchanged. obviously rent & your income changes. Just do you best here. Most things will scale equivalent. So for short periods you can probably ignore minor changes like. Calculate out what your approximate financial situation might look like if you change nothing. Then calculate out what your financial situation might be with a house. I'd add probably $300 or so to whatever your mortgage+escrow is if not more. You'll have repairs. You need to buy a lawn mower. You probably want to do a remodel sometime or put in a garden. Buy a BBQ. There's all these ancillary expenses that come with home ownership because you mow have more options. But calculate that out too. There's a time where you would effectively break even between renting & owning a home. It can be 5.. 10... 25 years in the future. And in some case's... way further in the future. If your ok for being in the financial hole for those years. Then... your probably safe to buy it. I'd say 5 years is pretty common. If you think you might consider moving before you break even. It will hurt you financially pretty badly. And I would advise to not buy until the time your ok staying in the house goes way beyond the break even point. Otherwise continuing to rent for can lead you to more financial wealth instead of short term ownership. Buying a house should be thought of as a long term over many years type decision.

Inspectors don't test for the presence of meth. It isn't the inspectors fault. Also, while there might need to be remediations done, what she is talking about is usually reserved for the houses where meth is made, but just used. Also, her only knowledge of it is a police report where the prior owner turned it over. Did she ever find out if it was being smoked in the home? It might have been consumed in other ways which have even less impact on the property.
Be easier to just to call oinkin and get rid of the Roach’s.
Sounds like they would get rid of a pig problem. Oinkin?
Hahaha clearly FOMO into the house with no inspection
So you bought a house without getting an inspection. 😢
they did, but the inspection failed to bring it up, she may have the legal right to sue the surveyor/inspector depending on the laws of the state she's in.
They don’t test for meth residue in a normal home inspection
Home inspections are a joke. Hire a plumber, electrician and a carpenter for a couple hours each. Use what they find to adjust house price if necessary necessary. It's a huge purchase, protect yourself. Same process goes for buying a used car of any value. Pay someone who doesn't have a dog in the fight to give it a once over.
An inspector would have not know? What do you think they would have known?
@@jimmymcgill6778home inspectors look for mold, bad electrical, bad plumbing, etc. if a meth lab isn’t busted and they just move out no one would ever know there was meth. Once the police report comes in though the remediators are crazy.
how much does meth sell for
I am a credit card person but I do NOT understand the obsession with credit scores.
people want increased borrowing and access to better credit with better rewards etc. as well as, better loan options, & if you buy or rent I'm almost certain they take your creditworthiness into consideration.
@@Rod17 And you can rent places without having a credit score at all. George Kamel showed how it could be done on a short Ramsey clip a couple of years ago.
Better credit scores get you lower interest rates on loans, paying a lower deposit when renting an apartment, and sometimes lower car insurance rates.
So I got a hypothetical question? What if cocaine accidentally touched my kitchen counter? Should I replace the counter?
I believe you can buy yourself a DIY meth test kit.
Wait they weren't cooking meth, but just smoking it in the house? Your mortgage is also over half your monthly income? Be happy you fleeced them for $60k. Karen of the year.
how do you not notice things when you go to check out a house before you buy it. you gotta inspect that place top to bottom especially if you are leaning towards the buy. then again I had a friend buy a house who did thoroughly inspected a house he got only to find out after he lived in it for about a month that the basement floods after just about any amount of semi decent rainfall. So I can understand things get overlooked but damn, you gotta be careful nowadays with nearly everything. EDIT: NVM further into the video you see how she bought the home without fully inspecting... she is trying to be a multiple home owner so obviously she bought this house as an investment home trying to make a buck.
How much would it cost to just have a drain put into the basement?
@@wewhoareabouttodiesaluteyo9303 if you're talking about a sump pump. that's actually a lot of work. the drainage system + the work that needs to be done to could range anywhere from 15k-25k

people kill me always being worried about their credit. ESPECIALLY after you've secured your mortgage.
I dont understand why they had to strip down the walls just because she was DOING meth. She said the owner wasn't making it in her home. At first I thought she said it had bed bugs , is why she stripped it.
HOW did she qualify for this home? There's NO WAY the bank would have allowed these out-of-whack ratios.
Boarder Income is added to the buyer’s income to meet debt ratio requirements. I have been a mortgage broker since 1996.
Wait they weren't cooking meth, but just smoking it in the house? Karen of the year lmfao.
Jerry Springer ahh titles for the videos today 😂
How did she get a loan? And what's with all these people that can't actually afford a place on their own (without roommates or parents cosigning) wanting to buy multiple places? Also, if they are smoking meth in the house (at all, not only for manufacturing) yes remediation is necessary. I used to work for a bank and they had a foreclosure that had to sit empty for 7 years because of the contamination and had to haul away soil.
I’d sue the home inspector.
Technically the party to sur here with would be the sellers agent, but only of ahe can prove that the agent knew about the police reports and didnt note them in sellers disclosure
She had the money to pay the credit cards already, why even call in. Something fishy here
I think a lot of times these calls are either staged or selected. Yeah. I mean Ramseys steps aren't that hard. Watch 1 episode of Ramsey and you know the baby steps. I don't understand why anyone calls in. You know what he's going to say. Sell your car. Buy a cheap one. Use your savings to pay off debt. Establish an emergency fund. Pay off the house and invest. Like what's so hard about understanding that? And if people actually think Ramsey is going to "give them permission" to go off script... watch a 2nd episode and it's obvious he won't bend at all. It really is a waste of time calling in. I don't understand who these people are.
It's an entertainment show. Everything is done for the enjoyment of the viewers.
2:55 _"...oh no, no, I have all the cash needed to pay my debts, and even more. I just like the reverse arbitrage, the continuous erosion of my wealth by compound interest working against me; a reverse spread, if you will. It's like trying to grab a large handful of fine sand."_
Uhh this call is very confusing. I’m not sure she needed a complete home remediation jus because the previous owners were smoking meth.
Question: _How do I pay of $32k of credit card debt?_ Answer: _With your $60k stash of cash._ 👍
2 day's after closing, couldn't she have gotten out of it?
I always thought there was a final walk thru? Due diligence ? Nope!
You can't tell if meth was used in it.
Pay it off. Then sell the house.
We walked into the home of a chronic smoker. The realtor said we would be chasing the smell for a long time. The flooring , dry wall, wood finishes. We did not purchases. All I can say to the caller is …. Yikes.
I'm wondering how much is necessary remediation, versus how much is her seeing an opportunity for an exciting new remodel.
scrub everything, paint and floors. good to go. wasted money.
Exactly! Only meth labs need remediation, due to the toxic materials produced in the making process. The meth itself is very low toxicity.
That’s what happens in California
Can't she just offload this on some "We BuyAny House" outfit, take the money and run? She got scammed; why compound the injury by keeping the property, while struggling to do so? I think she ought to cut her losses on this one.
She wants to buy more homes.😅😅😅
Remember the days when Dave was the show..... those were the days.
This call went from sounding horrible, to not sounding too bad at all...
Paying 1/2 of her monthly pay toward her mortgage but worried about credit score so she can somehow purchase more real estate lol. People are just stupid.
The only reason you'd have to fully gut a house is due to animal/human feces, infestation, mold, fire or hoarding. So, did she buy the house sight unseen? If not, then either she's choosing to do a full remodel or a contractor is pulling the wool over her eyes.
She got scammed...
Why you gotta rip out an entire kitchen if someone did meth in the house. can't you just deep clean and repaint and repolish
Education yourself on home buying.Lots of tricks, she won’t follow advice
Better call Saul!
I doubt this house ACTUALLY requires what she is saying just because someone smoked meth in it. That seems a bit extreme and dramatic. A lab is another story.
Either way she bought the house would assume she does not mind risking problems..... When I buy a car I am taking a risk of issues and unless the house is brand new I can expect problems period!!! If I ever buy I know to expect issues (hopefully I will be ready for problems.)
