I love that she acknowledges that being introverted doesn't mean you are not confident - a lot of people mistake introverts for always being shy or insecure but we just express our confidence differently
People always confused introversion with social anxiety or even social phobia. It's just when you like to be with yourself.
Tell 'em
Absolutely. And as someone who is often introverted I had for a long time internalized that as a self-limiting belief that limited my own self-confidence (and it's still a belief in mind sometimes). I hope that her voice helped others find their confidence.
Not even joking. She’s a top 10 rapper IN THE WORLD ATM. Lyrically/thematically she’s been killing her competition
I dont really know anything but for me she is the best
She’s the best rapper of the last 5 years album wise and top 5 lyrically in that time, very interesting to see how far she can go because she is brilliant and her partnership with her producer Inflo is pure gold, one of the best I’ve ever seen
@@barry4649Yes both her and inflo are very special creatives
She is a star, the real one. A diamond, not a media product.
She def deserves a Grammy
Absolutely!
Yes yES
That hair though Jesus 😂
@@likemike751 hair looks cool - she’s good looking
Lol
Love the way Nile Rodgers looks at Little Simz. It's like she gives him hope for the future ❤️
You took the words from my mouth..longest I've heard him stay quiet. He connected with her on a real. She's a good 'un
Lil Simz is one of the most important artists of the decade. She's incredibly prolific, and doesn't come with a lot of baggage. Big props to her!
“my imperfections work well for me” bravo simz 👏🏾
Little Simz is a wonderful, Intelligent beautiful artist. Love her vibes
"Labels are for clothes not people".....need to use that wonderful phrase.
She’s the full package, beauty, charisma, talent and one big gorgeous smile!
People don't call Beyoncé or Rihanna a female singer, a rapper is a rapper regardless of gender.
She’s the only female rapper that can be brought up as one of the best in the world and I think that’s maybe why people add in that she’s female because it’s a bit surprising to people who haven’t heard her because of the notion women can’t rap which she’s been fighting against for years. I’d say she’d have way more awards and success if she was a man because people won’t give her music a chance a lot of the time
Wow, her hair is something else! However, it's super that she's her own person. Originality is a wonderful way to live. As usual, great interview, Skavlan.
Thank You!
Nobody signing her clearly shows how many morons there is in the music industry. They were all wrong. She now deserves a long, happy and successful career. Rightly so too.
True that,just like politics
That smile. That talent. She is IT!
She’s a fresh breath of free mind!
I think you mean she's "A breath of fresh air." That's what we say here in the U.S.😊
She's sooo beautiful! ♥
No lie
It's the hair for me ....I just love ❤️ it
She is my real model and she deserves all of her success

Love this woman - so beautiful talented and smart - a pure gift for todays youngsters
Smart, individual, beautiful, thoughtful, TALENTED. A true inspiration to us all. ✨ And wow, hair looks great.
Amazing young lady and a real inspiration and role model for the young generation instead of the social media driven shit forced on the youth... she speaks so well... and absolutely stunningly beautiful
Ok but why is this my ideal dinner guest list
I absolutely loved this discussion. Tears in my eyes hearing such unadulterated honesty from people in these postitions
Fantastic interview, what a brilliant panel.
I've only listened to maybe four of her work and I like them so much. She seems to have an interesting personality too. I hope one day she has the success and recognition she deserves.
Damn this interview just gets right into it. Awesome
Little Simz is dope!
How am I just learning about her in Top Boy. Damn girl!!!!!
Great interview. She’s amazing ♥️
I am discovering her.
Absolutely love her hair... Love her music she is so talanted
she is charming
1st time seeing this interviewer, he's good..I like his style. Good questions.
He is Norwegian. Now has a collab with Sweden. He has been doing this for years(also doing cartoondrawings as a statement-thing). He is sort of The nordic Graham Norton. But trying/being «deeper» than that. Fredrik Skavlan is his name. You should check him out. Alot of his interwiews with famous people has felt like a homage/hug to those who where in his studio.
She's everything !
I watched this interview live and the performance. Was pretty cool
I'm going to see her in concert this year on the 11th of May! I can not wait!🥰😍🤗😊
I saw Little Simz in Moncler Genius show on 2/20/23. Genius!

Always such astute questions . Great guests!
Yes, his interviews are absolutely the best I've seen. No "mumbo-jumbo," as we say here in the U.S. Intelligent, entertaining questions.
Powerful discussion
Wrong and strong love it ,its the imperfections that makes music great

👑💘
Awesome
Greatfull artist.
Those words don't define you but they describe you and the work you do or the paper you have in society but I don't see them as definitions...we are much more than words can say.
N1 all the best with your spitting
There are no problems with labels. We need labels. Labels are just a way to refer to things, it's what words are for. The name of the show is a label, the name Little Simz is a label, we need ways of referring to things, that's what labels are. Introverts, extroverts, these are things that exist, patterns that exist, traits that exist, and we need some way to refer to them, words are what we use to do that, labeling is just that. People don't mind labels, they mind being mislabeled. They don't like being put in a box that doesn't fit them. People do like labels though, and that shows when someone is properly labeled, because that's then called identity. Then we embrace the label and wear it as a badge. And as we should, that's what they're there for. But we shouldn't demonize labels as a whole. I don't even know what the alternative would be, just pointing to things?
i'm sorry, i don't know if little simz sees this... but the part where i left off... eons ago... starts again with her saying, "but actually." SO BASIC, LITTLE SIMZ, SO BASIC 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She is Quite one he is quite one 🤣🤣
Guest contradicts the hosts 'question' about 'it all being about perfection, wouldn't you say?" by saying "Ummm. I don't think it is important at all to me. It is the imperfections for me." She just told you she was raised on really classic music. Fela Kuti recorded his stuff live. It is full of imperfections. Host needs to level up for this lady. Host asks "why don't you want to be labeled as a female rapper?" Perhaps he specializes in these types of questions to raise up his guests. He's got great guests so I like the idea.
Any link to the performance?
