  • This is a good demonstration of the fact that it's not about how sound your opening is, it's about how well you have studied it, and how easily you can play it when out of theory, whether you know the structure, plans, weaknesses, etc.

  • These gambits are my favorite way to learn to see tactics. I play Stafford a lot with black, and Danish and Smith Morra with white. The Smith Morra is new to me and really hard to remember, but I suspect it will be worth the effort. Thanks to Eric, I have won numerous arena tournament games in under 12 moves with the Stafford. Lots of fun.
