ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZhead and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

    • Hopefully Cammy will read this as youtube drop my comments about 30 places down the list, It could be swayback, Copper deficiency causes a condition in newborn lambs known as enzootic swayback. Lambs are typically normal at birth but develop hindlimb paresis or paralysis within a few weeks. The neurologic deficits are caused by a dystrophic demyelination of the white matter in the spinal cord.

  • I can't belive you don't have way more likes.. Yes you show the ugy, dirt, grit, blood sometimes death.. But it shows how badly you fight for each one of your sheep & lambs. The sweet relationship you have with you loyal dogs, and the amazing loving relationship you have with your family. Everytime I watch your kids or nephews I just smile, you are allowing them to be boys.. Getting dirty, bonking themselves and basically telling them what most of us parents tell our kids.. Get up try again!! ❤❤❤ But you are so pretty funny as well.. You can't hold a 🎶 & you don't care lol youre living & loving your life and allowing us to come along. I enjoy every minute ❤❤

Your poor mother locked in the pet lamb shed, it could have been worse she could’ve been locked in their with you and your camera. Maybe that’s what we need a Q&A vlog with your mum & Lizzy with Jock recording it on Jock cam, how is he after his hospital trip? I take it he is on his way to recovery, I hope they didn’t say for him to be off his feet because we all know that won’t happen. Lizzy is looking good. • I would say that many of the problems that are occurring anywhere there was an extensive amount of moisture allowed bacteria to really hang on as well as washing valuable nutrients like copper out of the soil profile just as the grass began to get long enough to eat and even changing soil pH in places so that the grass couldn't take up necessary nutrients to pass on through the milk. Calcium or copper deficiency as well as joint ill is absolutely credible.

And I've heard Sandi say she does need to dip because they are indoors, and the sooner she dips, the better, or else they get joint ill. Perhaps the weather has created so much mud, that it's much dirtier this year and that's why they are off their feet? Just one fan's thoughts based on learning from you!

  • ❤ you are a dear sweet son to lock your mom inside the pet barn. Oh my God you make me laugh my head off and forget my problems. Thank you and tell your mom I love her too. I adore hearing all the things to go through your head and come out your mouth you are so funny, it makes me forget my problems and even bigger problems that we have here in my country. Continue to share your stories and your life with us because I’m sure you have no idea how much you are doing for the rest of us who have sadness, losses and troubles, God bless you and Lizzie and Spot, the wonder pooch; and of course Jock. I’m so happy and elated to see Jack is learning some new words besides no he said delightful and beautiful young man and I’m sure he will turn into a gentleman once he gets over his terrible twos you and Lizzie have the patience of Job I raised five children, and they were sometimes very trying. But now that they are grown and productive and they even take me out to lunch once in a while I’m so grateful that it took the time to do the best I could for them. God bless you and thanks again you guys are amazing 🤩

  • I would up your Cheviot numbers to 5000 and phase out all the rest. They’d be in the right condition all year round and you could start selecting for what you want and don’t want and sell breeding ewes and rams.
