RepNotify is to update something on the fly, even if e.g. players join after an update to something already happened ... An example are opened doors, which otherwise would be still closed (default) for players who join later, no matter the replication relevancy which happened beforehand.
I tried for a year and could never ask the server to modify the variable on the client, but the server pressed a key and passed it to the client is no problem, I used "run on server"
I think rep notify have it built in that changes made to the objects when they are not relevant are updated to the current value when they become relevant again. Multi cast only updates if they are relevant. I may be wrong though
yep that's how it works basically you either set the relevancy to super high number which is very bad or use rep notifies and avoid high net usage problems
