I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖
If you would like to see more of our life at the chateau, please go to our main 'Chateau Diaries' channel:

Amaury is such a gentleman, so caring and respectful, together with such a soothing voice. A good addition to the episode Steph and Phillip!
Amaury I truly love hearing about all of the things that your childhood held, thank you for sharing with is. I love hearing about all of the things that were precious to you. Thanks for coming tonight !!! Please come again !
I am a grandmother, so all the remembrances of your grandmothers touches my heart
Hello Carolyn, I have 8 Grandchildren, & I wonder if they will remember me with fondness, & special memories, & mementos. I have wonderful memories of my hilarious grandma. She made everything a joy. I managed to get two items from her. One a special Porcelain metal Turkey Tray. Another is a white old medical Doctor cabinet. She had a skeleton key to it on a string tied to her bra! She was an amazing cook & baker. My first memories of the cabinet, was age 3-4 years old. I remember looking up through the glass sides, into the top seeing it filled with pies, cakes! She would say, “When you eat your dinner, you can choose one.” She taught me to bake. I have taught my grandkids. Still working on it, as two are 6 & 7. New first great grand baby on the way. Blessings to you.
@@peggyvick935 love the skeleton key memory! I had a grandmother who loved watching wrestling on TV in the 50's. Gorgeous George was her hero. My other grandma made a lot of my clothes and I have such wonderful memories of her pinning the pattern pieces to me while I was standing on a table. So yes, grandmothering is a real art. I also have a good friend who is expecting her first great grand baby, how wonderful.
Amaury too has some great stories to tell. I think both cousins grew up having a very exotic upbringing. They appear to be very knowledgeable about a tons of various things. Both are extremely well rounded. Another lovely unwrap.
Vienna is stunning love Austria
I have loved Amaury ever since he appeared at LaLande.
@Kim Kerley He's also very handsome too!!! He seems very sweet.
He has become one of my favourite in the videos.
What's not to love about Amaury? When is his brother going to make an appearance?
I absolutely love when Amaury joins in on the gifts. The banter between cousins reminds me of myself and my brother when we are together. I am so excited for you next table setting with the new table linens from Michael. it will be so wonderful. I also love the tea cups and plates and the story surrounding them. This Cadeaux was sooo much fun.
Amaury it’s so nice to see you join the cadeaux crew. It was also fun to hear you and Stephanie reminisce about your maman and hers with the French perfume waters. My grandmother would always scent our bed linens with lavender. I will always love that scent. Much love to all at LaLande
Do you know what liquid they were saying that their mamans sprinkled on the sheets and bought large bottles of
I adore the incidental history lessons about life in Europe taught during Cadeaux!
Amaury, you have such lovely Parents! One of my favorites was watching your Mother’s reactions to all the celebratory moments in honor of her Birthday 🎂. That was so well done.👍
Stephanie. I’m so delighted my gift arrived. Yes I made the bag at home in Umhlanga. Durban. I was on holiday in Cyprus and posted it from there. I’m a wine drinker, so very impressed the bag can multitask. !!! Enjoy x JOY and Hilt. X
What a very beautiful bag you made and so perfect to give to Stephanie!! You're very talented.
Joy it is beautiful and you are very talented and generous
I am always struck by how soft spoken and polite Cousin Amaury is ... such beautiful gifts! I think the linens were my favourite!
Lots of fun listening to Amaury and Stephanie reminisce about their early years. Beautiful gifts!🙏❤️
Wow that table cloth set from the mysterious and oh-so-generous Michael is a-MAZ-ing! 😍And the relief I felt when I saw it came with place settings, cos I was gonna say, you guys are NOT allowed to spill anything on that table cloth 😅 Philip, pretty please do us a table setting with it and the yellow charger plates you mentioned...I don't think I can wait until your summer to see it. And I absolutely agree with Amaury about the undervalued hand-made furniture compared to Ikea (we don't have one here in Christchurch, thank goodness, though I did shop in one in Cranford, New Jersey, and I must say I was blown away. But my values have shifted and I tend to buy pre-loved items these days, including ovens and cooling fans for summer., and clothes etc.) It was another delight to watch the opening of all those stunning gifts (the Swarovski! 🤩) and I really enjoyed the 3 of you together. Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand 🦔🐾🐿
The port bottle in the bag...it sure beats the brown paper bag that most people use!!
Wonderful to have Amaury join you. Please can he join in more often. So much laughter and listening to the cherished memories was wonderful.
Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 cousins unwrapping gifts. Amaury was so enthusiastic and lovely to hear of family traditions with cologne and wine. His parents are adorable. The Swarofski (spelling) ducks, rose and hedgehog were stunning.
Amaury pulls the cadeaux opening and chat together, to bring a lovely ‘time spent with family/friends’ feeling to the vlog👌😊
Loved seeing Amaury properly for the first time. He usually manages to stay in the background, or sneak away completely, but tonight it was a treat to see him enter into proceedings with such humour and interesting stories of childhood. So enjoyed all three of you interacting as only lifelong relations can. And LOVED that crystal hedgehog clutching his apple. Adorable.
What gorgeous gifts and the variety is amazing! Loved it.🥰🎁
Beautiful gifts from Beautiful people for Beautiful people. So lovely to have Amaury in Caddeau.
With Philip being so into creatures, or critters as we say in the south, I hope he has watched the Fantastic Beasts movies. The creatures are the best part. Love the interaction with everyone who participates in these videos. It gives us a chance to get to know them better.
Such generous and thoughtful gifts from Alfrieda! Her attention to detail, in regards to the things that warm your hearts…wonderful!
Amaurys looks are such an equal blend of his Mamma and Pappa. His personality of course is his own with a great sense of humour.🤣This cadeaux opening is very calm and with gorgeous gifts.🎁 Monty Dons Gardens of the Adriatic feature Venice around through Croatia. Stunning coastlines pristine waters spectacular gardens.🌴
This Chateau Unwrapped was so special...loved hearing Amaury reminiscing...he needs to be part of opening gifts more, he's so warm and wonderful...the three of you did a wonderful job...great video! Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care of yourselves and each other, stay well! Lots of love Kathy x
Amaury needs to be more regular in cadeaux, I love all his stories. Also, a friend of mine always has a gingerbread house decorating competition party. The houses are already constructed and everyone is divided into teams to decorate with icing and candy. It's a lot of fun.
My favourite thing tonight was the little Duckling. The three of them brought genuine fun and laughter, plenty of banter between them, talking of things of past times and loved ones. The genuine love and effection they share, It was great to see the worry or confusion on Amaurys face when he was thought to have been engaged 💍. It would be great xxx💕
Stephanie, the smile on your face of love when u told Phillip you are such a geek, just tickled me and I’m still smiling! ❤
Beautiful gifts and such a nice time! 🥰 Thank you Chateau Unwrapped, and everyone in chat
I loved hearing the stories about your grandparents!
Amaury I just love you 😅your subtle humour brings La lande back to the real world. You are so interesting as well as talented. Wonder how many sneaky whiskies you had to have before taking part lol. 🤗
Blessed each and everyone! Wonderful gifts and love sent!
Cat would make a excellent judge in the Christmas Village Competition Cook Off!!!!💛
And she would make it absolutely HILLARIOUS❗️😂🤣😂🤣 Add in the elusive Nick! Also Amaury Dad. The houses should be numbered, so Judges do not know maker.
It was so nice having Amaury here at "Cadeaux"! I loved the childhood stories, as so many have said! The gifts were wonderful and amazing, of course, but the banter, joy and love that you all share with each other (and with us) really brightens my day! Thank you!
Enjoyed so much watching you fantastic trio tonight ❤ Amaury's got such a beautiful aura You guys enjoy your exquisite gifts 😍
I L❤VED this episode! Amaury made it so much fun, & love hearing he & Steph’s memories. So enjoyable.
Such beautiful gifts. Makes me so happy to be able to watch you all open the gifts.
I can watch Amaury all day
I do too! Let him speak 😮
Me too
Me too ‼️. He’s superb xxx
Love to hear all the cousin’s stories
Adonis
This is just as if someone was traveling the world and shipping everything from far away lands back to the Chateau to be opened by the loved ones to enjoy and preserve. I have a feeling you pinch yourselves routinely on just how lavish your lifestyle has become.
Love the stories Steph and Amaury tell of their growing up together. Such family love and joy. ❤
All the gifts are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this. 👍 🥰
Stephanie the first picture of a little gazebo on an island should be what your lake becomes.
A Gingerbread House bake off? Bring it on!! That would be amazingballs. 😁😋
The three of you are the best. I love when your together and just talking. I feel like I’m in the room wanting to participate in the conversation. The gifts are truly lovely 😅. And purple is my favorite color. Sending much love to the three of you. Keep the videos going. They make my day. And Spring in Colorado is way behind here. Spring flowers are so beautiful. Your lucky that your bulbs have come up. Take care and stay safe. God’s blessings.
Michael sends such exquisite gifts. Lovely to see more of your very handsome and sweet cousin. I would love to visit Lalande and bring my 18thC gown, made with my own fair hands, to wear to dinner. I also have a day dress complete with the Breton straw hat, for strolls in the garden picking flowers.
You brought back happy memories when you mentioned filling up the large bottles with a pump nozzle of wine. We use to stay at st. Tropez or Port Grimoud and drive to a little village and fill up. I think the deposit on the flagon was more than the Red Wine. Happy days fifty years ago.
I would love to see Michael T and some of your other regular gift givers (like the lady from Austria) on chateau unwrapped someday! They give such thoughtful, generous and amazing gifts. Really, everyone does do this. It would be fun to "meet" some of the regulars.
Hello lovely Lalanders ! You are always a breath of fresh air ! For all of us. Thank you
Amaury..great idea about the gingerbread houses. My sister in law started this tradition a couple of years ago. 3 generations do this competition a couple of weeks before Christmas; they are a village in my sister in law's dining room till New Year eve. Then the children blow them up with firecrackers( many adults involved). Safety first!
This was so incredibly fun to watch you three….thank you for the laughter and for sharing all your wonderful memories…. It is truly so lovely for you to share with the rest of the world. You are truly a light in the darkness, thank you.
The generosity of the people that watch this vlog is affirmation of such genuine kindness.
The Crystal rose, hedgehog and ducks just beautiful! So many great gifts! 💗
The rose has a beautiful shine in the light! I bet it is even better in real life and not on camera.
OMG...You 3 crack me up lol...thanks for a great show tonight!
Loved this vlog. You all have such a wonderful dynamic together. Watching you interact, laugh and share makes me feel like I am there with you all. Thank you, all three of you!!!
I can see you all shaking dice to see who gets amaury to partner for house building. So funny. Gorgeous items
I think you should made a Valentine house with the mould …Why wait…❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I always spray my beds with cologne ….Simply Beautiful….
Loved viewing this with the 3 of you so much🥰 The tea sets for Stephanie and Philip were so touching. It never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the gift givers and the specialness of each gift🥰
Amaury and Phillip are such lovely gentlemen so complimentary and polite it`s a real treat to see.
What a amazing gifts, so beautiful, incredible what people sending to the Lalanders, love it.
Stephanie...you don't need a green outfit. The necklace will look fabulous with all your yellow outfits as yellow and the shade of green are very compatible. I always very much enjoy Michael 's letters. He has splendid taste!
Amaury should voice a sleep or meditation app 😂
Amaury talking about his grandmother drizzling perfume on the sheets…my fav perfume is Mademoiselle by Coco Chanel and I spritz it on my sheets. I didn’t know I was doing something French! 😊
Same here - the Christmas tree comes down 12th night but fairy lights stay up until February, to cheer us up xxx
Armory, Natie; and their little baby! Awww So enjoy having Armory with you on the episode. Love you guy's! ♥
Amaury is such a sweetheart, like your Phillip. So good to see such lovely guys who have emphay for the lovely things in life. You are truley blessed Stephanie, as are they with you., Love and hugs from Devon, England. xxx
The tea cup sets with room for bread are beautiful
If you put a room fan in front of the fireplace with the back of the fan to the fire it will draw the heat out in to the whole room and heat it.
So many beautiful gifts Much love to all Great seeing Amaury and Stephanie so happy again
Another enjoyable video. Lovely watching the three of you together. Keep up the important work you are all doing behind the scenes. Stephanie your a national treasure and a great Ambassador for France. Greetings from England.
I think the lavender and rose tablecloth would be beautiful for Easter.
Loved having Amaury at Chateau unwrap.😊
You're so lucky to have two gorgeous men with you!!! PHILLIP & Amaury
I love how the cousins tease each other! More please....
I love how Phillip knows so much about household things!! He knows so much about dishes, silverware etc... Hes a cutie.
Hello to all. My daughter in law made a big gingerbread house Christmas and she even made the widows with very fine sugar and colours like a church window. You all have always so much fun it’s a pleasure to watch All the best for 2023
I want gifts from Michael T. Everything he sends is so beautiful and I have to admit I am so jealous. Sending hugs and love from California.
Hello I am doing great. I live in a small town in California
How are you and where are you at???
@Luca Angelo Hello again 😊
Really fun to hear you and Amaury reminisce. Would love to hear more about Petit Cle?. We are headed to Provence at the end of May and would like to try your favorite wine.
Omg the crystal and the snack plates are fabulous so beautiful thank you so much for another wonderful video 🥰
The tablecloth would be so pretty for Easter!
I have those very same ducklings and the Parent ducks as well. I display them on a mirror in my Crystal Cabinet. But I was really shocked when I saw we have the same Rose as well. I’ve been collecting for years and give my husband the annual Christmas ornament from them every year since 2008. The hedgehog is absolutely perfect! Hugs from Houston
Memory Lane was my mother's favourite pattern and I inherited her tea set. So beautiful. I might join you in a cup of tea and a Hob Nob too!
Again, I love your dress Stephanie! You look regal in it.
That beautiful fabric would make a lovely shawl. It drapes so nicely. I bet Molly is on the floor but I'm only half the way through the vlog.
I absolutely love everyone's sense of humour! Amazing gifts, as always so thoughtful and fun :)
A fun video with these three charming people ,love you all 🥰🆒⭐️🥇❤️🇺🇸
Guys, just FYI! The inks in brightly colored wrapping paper contain metals which can give off toxic fumes into the room. Also they can ignite the creosote inside the chimney. Never burn it in the fireplace!
Didn’t know that. Thanks for the tip!! 👍
I was burning the wrapping paper one Christmas and enjoying the beautiful colors that it made until the fire broke out and set my mantle on fire. Luckily I was able to pull the mantle scarf off before the fire spread.
So love these vignettes...
Lovely to see how generous people can be.
The rose would look stunning in a center piece on a table!
The yellow tablecloth set would be perfect for Easter!
Another wonderful episode of Cadeau! Thank you for the video! Have an amazing week.
Beautiful crystals, the ducks and duckling.😊
Wonderful to watch you as always! Enjoyed this ,,episode´´ more than ever! Lots of love to you all.
Thank you for sharing your lovely memories of family and travels! ❤️
You just bring back to me a memory of my childhood, I spend all my summers in Provence (near Cavalaire sur Mer) and I remember my father and grandfather going to buy wine with tanks! Thanks, Melissa R.
@Chateauunvrapped! I think there is someone using your name....
I’m watching the second half of this the next day because I got a little busy but use a spray bottle for your bedding so you don’t have splashes of the cologne in spots but a spray bottle would give it an easy even spray. Here in the US we actually can buy lavender or linen scented sprays just for your sheets. I also have to tell you when I was younger my mother would get so excited about the box that anything came in especially if it was odd shaped. Her eyes would get so huge over the box whether it be jewelry to a pair of shoes she would find such delight in the box. So much so that it became a family joke. My mother got some really bad news last week so my daughter upped her wedding from October to last Saturday, we will still have the reception in October but my daughter really wanted her Nana at her wedding and it turned out to be a lovely time, everyone enjoyed especially my mom. She will forever be my best friend.
immediately thought of the Easter lunch when you opened Michael's table cloth.
Hi guys😃We happened to hear you mention the Palace in Spit on tonights episode. We love going there to look at this palace and see its history. It is absoloutly fabulous and to walk around all of the small streets/allyways truley amazing. We have just moved from Norway to Brac.(AN ISLAND OUTSIDE OF SPLIT) We have renovated a 300 year old stone house here on the island.Visit the palace in Split and you are welcome to visit us in this beautiful little historic fishing village😉🇭🇷 Mike and Gina🙂
Stephanie, I love that you also have a “healthy” love for salted butter like me! 😁🧈🧂❤️🇨🇦
I love the tennis set x Swarovski trinkets. On Valentines Day, there’s a fun tradition in the US. Everyone makes a valentine box (shoebox) decorate them. Cut a wide opening as well. I’d suggest adding your name to the box. Place them at the dining table. Each of us took a 100£ bought tiny gifts for each person participating. And , finally add valentine 💌 card to finish. It’s a lot of fun. ♥️ Edit- the jade necklace is stunning!
