(ONCE QT got success, it seemed like he became Captain Cocaine, and all his work got stupid etc, but everyone sucks up to him just like any jerkoff in power.) (It even seems like LEO and BRAD [and Margot?] find QT SECRETLY ANNOYING.) (I assume everyone SECRETLY finds QT annoying. I love truth, unfortunately.)

I like Brad, he's the only one of the A list Trio comprising Depp, Cruise and himself that went on to do a variety of roles and not be a typecast but even Brad Pitt will agree in his heart that there is no one who can hold a candle in front of DiCaprio.

  • Leonardo has a certain body language in interviews. He behaves like royalty yet doesn’t try to dominate others. This type of behaviour enables him to keep the interviewer in his place without trespassing on his private matters. When naturally charismatic men like Tom Hardy or Brad Pitt accompany him in interviews, they completely steal all the attention. This helps Leonardo even more.

  • I have never really been that big a fan of Tarantino, but this knocks it out the park. Can hardly get enough of this movie! Leonardo shows himself to be truly, a transformative artist, and for me the very best scene was when "Mirabella" tells him, "That was the best acting I've ever seen". And his character soars! I always knew he was a great artist, but this movie was definitely a quantum leap for this guy. "You want me to be, a .... hippie?!" And toward the end of the movie, the way Tarantino tied it all together with Jose Feliciano's "California Dreaming" was pure genius. It took me back to that time, and when that album came out, that song, and "Light My Fire", it seemed to elevate the whole of humanity to another level. That's despite the turmoil of those times, we were entering another age, and even being able to pronounce "Feliciano", added a cliche to your cool. And the "shop talk", inside drifts and tidbits added a real intimacy to all the performances. "That was a smooth leap...", "That guys a jerk..." I was never into Sharon Tate, I mean it was one of those terrible things that happen, but I kind of love and am disturbed the way Quinton brought her to life. It was sweet, they way she was bopping throughout the L.A of the period, but very sad when the killers were making it up the private drive. In the movie, they get diverted to Rick Dalton's house and get killed. In reality, like the ghouls portrayed in the movie, they make it up that path to Sharon's house to slaughter a beautiful, pregnant woman, Sharon Tate, and her friends, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Steven Parent, Jay Sebring... apparently for no reason. At the end, it's kind of mystifying, even the music become almost ethereal, the closing scenes wafted into this other reality, where Jay seemed to come down the path, not from the Polanski house, but from the afterlife to find out what had happened, or what was happening, and again from the afterlife, through the intercom, Sharon seem to ask; "Hey, are you guys alright?"

  • Leo, Margot & Brad actually don’t seem like the typical Hollywood pricks out there. They just seem like they genuinely care about film and their performances. I don’t recall ever seeing them get angry or acting stuck up for no reason. They just seem sort of normal to me. It seems pretty clear that Tarantino is still completely passionate and invested in film and not cause of money.

  • Leo's energy seems significantly subdued relative to the other interviewees, lol! I think he guards well. He is not nececessarily hiding behind a facacde, but I feel like he is self-aware enough to recognise he does not want to play front man in a group situation. Humbleness and an attempt at reducing the play of ego may be at play. I feel he is a strong introvert, but ask him a question, and he is all about giving you a comprehensive answer. IN (MBTI) vibes, for sure, at least in this interview.

  • In 1969, I was 8. The same age as the girl actress in the movie. I was hanging around Hollywood Sets a lot then - my dad worked on Mission Impossible at the time. Often i would play imaginary on the Paramount Lots Western Street. Also, when the fictitious Bounty Law was in production, 1961, I was born and my dad (who wrote an episode of “Wanted Dead or Alive,” Steve McQueen) would take my mom and myself to the set. I spent countless hours walking past Musso & Franks as a child in the late 60’s going to and from Pickwick Bookstore on Hollywood and Las Palmas. Quentin’s right… you can’t love LA like a native,
