    • Another reason he worked well as Scarecrow. His acting and those eyes presents a very approachable man on the surface, with an underlying cold and steely persona.

    • @@Beneficialitificul I think that's a great observation, I never thought of that but it makes so much sense now especially given how central a role his eyes play in his portrayal of the character. The role was perfect for him without anyone knowing it would be perfect for him.

  • Cillian is one of those rare actors that can perfectly portray any role: protagonist, antagonist, romantic hearthrob, psychopathic villian, traumatized soldier, charismatic gangster. Man is a chameleon of an actor and he is always able to bring a new side of him to the big screen.

  • He's a guy who looks like a model, but plays some seriously dark roles. And really captures the insanity or emotions the film wants. Like in 28 days, he really played a man trying to survive a nightmare. Very realistic. He's a very talented actor. Very rare to have an actor with his looks not be top of the tabloids.

  • Nolan clearly thinks so very highly of Cillian, keeps him bringing him back. I’m really glad Nolan finally made a film with Cillian as the lead, I look forward to the Oppenheimer film.

  • Just finished Peaky Blinders and man….I can’t put into words how incredible this show is. Tommy Shelby is a generational character played by the most under rated actor of all time. Couldn’t be more sad it’s over!!

    • His vocabulary at times impressed me, his personality also fascinates me, if you see him in other interviews when he's not talking he's got that 1000 mile stare but he still listens to what's going on, he also mostly keeps to himself and always puts on strong performances; that's why we appreciate him I guess.

  • Breakfast on Pluto was a movie where Cillian Murphy stole my heart. You can smell, feel and breath the person he is portraying. It's like a smooth river that takes you in it's flow and never let's go. Very enjoyable, very intense, also scary.

He's really a fantastic actor, but he's also a genuinely kind and humble person. I love how shy he is and doesn't strive for fame and attention, yet he loves what he does.     • @@remisinai obviously they are excellent actors too but then you can name Cillian could've played joker (i think it'd have been good too) but we don't think like that I mean sometimes actors are not replaceable like rdj in iron man, there are many more examples (I mean thank god Tom cruise didn't accepted the script for iron man 1), just think! Btw i hope you know tom cruise was initially offered the role of iron man.

  • No Red Eye? That's an underrated thriller and really, Cillian carried it, he was perfect in the psycho role. He's in general not a guy fit to play just ordinary dudes, his face, eyes, and the way he talks are too expressive and specific. Due to his specific eyes/face and voice, he really is a good fit for intense or complicated characters. I think he would make a great Bond villain.

  • I'm still amazed that he doesn't have an Oscar. He has a list of awards but I genuinely see him as such a brilliant actor of our generation. I know he's humble enough to say he doesn't need any of it, but still!
