War is hell for both sides. It's a pity that once the war is over, most people soon forget about all those who went missing whose remains are scattered about farm fields, or buried in a trench in some forgotten forest, never to have their names remembered ever again. We must always remember, those soldiers who fought and died, regardless of cause or misdirection, were once babies and were probably the apple of their parents eye, wh probably never imagined their beloved children would suffer war, and most likely die before them. They say we die twice. Once when we initially die, and the other when people no longer speak our names. You folks are doing a good job, and you have my utmost respect.

My grandfather was a German fighter pilot and was shot down over Hungary. I have no idea where he was killed and hope someday someone will find him and give him a proper resting spot. I don't know where he was shot down all I know is he was 24 at the end of the war.

It matters not for what cause these men fought for, It matters not which flag they marched under, They were someone’s father, son, brother or husband, They were hero’s to their family, Died for their country, Deserve to be remembered, Returned to their home, Forever to rest in peace.

Am I the only one who feels a little sick each time human remains are unearthed and you realize you're looking at a real person who had a life that was ended in that desolate field?

Great work. To think that every skeleton you dig out represented a man, with friends, family and hopes for the future is crazy to think about.

This is one of the most fascinating and respectful thing I've seen in a long time. These soldiers can now have proper burial's and put to rest. Such a terrible way to die.

Imagine being one of those German soldiers. Who'd expected so many years after your death, a few Russians dig you out. Unbelievable. :D

I watch these videos somewhat regularly. It breaks my heart every time remains are found in such unholy places. But it makes me glad that there are good people in the world, like you. Men who treat the dead with proper respect, regardless of their side, and send them home.

That helmet with the bullet hole in it. Its a gruesome find and tells a story of a mans death.

Your video was enjoyed! It tells the story of what a living hell the Eastern front was in WW2. Its really sad when you remember that most likely those men never saw their 22nd birthday. When you have as many people killed as were killed during the second world war on the Eastern Front you ask yourself a question how long does it take to repatriate all the bodies apparently the answer is longer than 75 years. I read somewhere that it would be very hard in 1945 to find anyone born in 1922 because they had all been killed in the war.
