    • I may not be deaf but I’m neurologically challenged, and my father always said to me “This does not define who you are.” But to the show-runner’s point, cultural awareness is genuinely important.

  • I'M SO IMPRESSED that they made sure that all the signing people were on the screen even when the camera cut away to someone else!! That never happens but should be the way it always happens! EDIT: After I posted this comment, I came across an earlier interview of just Marlee on this show, and that is the absolute worst I have ever seen it done. They kept putting the interpreter on the camera instead of Marlee, sometimes even just Marlee's back. I'm pretty sure the Deaf community had some strongly worded responses, and perhaps instruction. This episode right here, is this show's redemption arc for how to keep sign language on the screen. Especially the actual signers who are the ones being interviewed!!!
