In the Middle East, if a man rapes another mans wife, he has taken power over him. His Fathers' "nakedness" might have been that of his mother. Which is why Canaan was cursed, because he might have been the result. Telling his brothers was informing them that now HE was over them because he had done this thing. This is one school of thought concerning Hams' sin.
Interesting theory. I always thought Ham raped Noah but this does not explain why Canaan was cursed. I think your interpretation makes so much more sense that the one provided in the video
I’ve heard of this too. Even the scriptures use this terminology. Leviticus 18:8 “you shall not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s wife, it is thy father’s nakedness.”
I now think Ham walked into his youngest son Canaan and Noah's wife and mentioned it to Shem and Japeth to cover it up. That is why Canaan who was already born was cursed. How could Noah curse Canaan who wasn't born yet if Ham did the act? The grandson was curious with his grandmother.

According to Leviticus 18:8, the nakedness of your father’s wife is ‘your father’s nakedness. So the graveness of the sin wasn’t merely seeing his father naked and laughing about it. It would be ridiculous to think that Ham and all of his descendants were cursed merely because he was giggling over seeing his father unclothed. According to scripture in Leviticus, uncovering your father’s nakedness is referring to having sexual relations with his wife.
The scriptures explicitly say that he told his brothers and they covered him while turning their heads so it doesn’t say anything about anything more than that. We can’t assume things that aren’t true or written. It explicitly says they looked the other way. Ham ridiculed his father which was a serious thing in ancient times. Noah found out later that he ridiculed him because he was drunk.Only Canaan and his descendants were cursed, not the rest of Ham’s children.

Ham was never never ever cursed! Genesis chapter 9 says that Ham's son Canaan was cursed.

Ham had already been blessed in Genesis 9:1. Canaan was cursed. Much of that was revealed when they entered Canaan land. However, even so, all curses are broken in the blood of Jesus.

That;s not what "saw his nakedness" means. He had sex with his father's wife. That was his sin.
It is believed that Ham did in fact abuse his father in a sexual way, perhaps as a power role display, or to shame him, that part is unclear. Noah’s wife is never mentioned at all so I think we can safely leave her out of this. Simply seeing nakedness vastly underplays the situation, there was a physical act of perversion, hence the curse. It is also believed that Ham reestablished sexual perversion back into the world once it had just been cleansed of such. So while this part of the story is vague, this what I have come to believe based on research and other insights into this part of the Bible.

The brothers walked backward and put a blanket over Noah's wife, not over Noah. Canaan was the offspring of Ham and his {step)mother, which is why Canaan was cursed.

The white skin was a temporary side effect because leprosy in fact is a skin eating disease that eventually left no skin at all like the side effects of the crocodile drug. The disease of leprosy was the curse. The white skin was only a temporary by product. It wasn't about skin color. It was a sentence of early/premature death.
Eve didnt convince Adam to eat the fruit, he was there the whole time eve was tempted & did not do anything to stop eve, nor stop himself... God told Adam directly not to eat the fruit, so he was far more responsible for his actions than Eve... a common misunderstanding of this passage...

There were only eight on the ark, yet the pictures show more than a dozen getting in! There is no mention of the Nephelim which were the result of humans interbreeding with fallen angels, thus corrupting the genepool of mankind, which is the actual reason God destroyed all living flesh, not just their wickedness.
