Both of their roles in their team are so different. At the start of his career up until now, Bukayo Saka has carried Arsenal and has been their best player attacking wise. Under Mikel Arteta, they went from a mid table team to a team in contention for the Premier League title and they’re in the champions league quarterfinals and he’s been the driving force of their resurgence and he’s blossomed into an elite winger who now needs to start winning trophies if people are to see him as a world class winger. At the age of 23, Phil Foden has won everything there is to win in football and has 5 premier league titles to his name at this age and I feel like because he plays on Manchester City with a lot of talent, sometimes we forget how old he is and we can take his achievements for granted. Initially he didn’t start his career off playing regularly as Pep was managing his minutes which is something that managers have to do with young players and it shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s been on fire this season. One of the reasons why Phil Foden is playing so well right now isn’t being talked about enough and that’s the way in which Pep didn’t overplay him when he was 18 19 unlike others.

Right now Foden is better. Stats dont mean anything, and he hasnt taken pens. Feel like its really close between the 2 and I think it was always be depending on form.

We are all still forgetting something. “Half of cole palmers goals are pens” saka has 5 penalties in the prem this season and the same amount of non penalty goal contributions. I’m not a fan of foden actually I’m his biggest critique. My problem before was he never won matches for city which he didn’t before this season he won’t city around 13 points in his career. This season he’s been the difference on many occasions and he’s on at least 9 point this season. Not a fan but gotta give credit where it’s due he’s doing well.

As a hater of Arsenal I think that saka is the better player but Foden is in the best form in the prem and that he’s been fantastic

People also forget that Saka played left back so he doesn’t have as much g/a in his whole career than foden.

I think so this comparison should be done if foden keeps his form consistent for atleast 2-3 years. Saka has been consistently doing better for asrenal in the pl. If foden plays consistently for man city for 2-3 years, then this debated can be heated up. Currently, this debate is the most unnecessary thing in footbal.
