Great job overall. Clear lyrics, good spacing and timing, and a readable font style and size. One thing, though, the line is "the preacher lights the coal", not "likes the cold". In other words, he puts coal into the coal-burning heater because he knows this guy is gonna stay in the church awhile to get warm. Back in the old days people burnt coal in furnaces for heat.

True
I love this song. It reminds me of my childhood. I mean I was born in 1983, but my parents listened to this.
My son and his beautiful girlfriend are moving back to California from Portland,OR. And this song took back back to Laguna Niguel where he was born,so I only wish to them bendiciones hijos. Everything is going to be ok.
Bendiciones a usted y su familia 🤍
Great job overall. Clear lyrics, good spacing and timing, and a readable font style and size. One thing, though, the line is "the preacher lights the coal", not "likes the cold". In other words, he puts coal into the coal-burning heater because he knows this guy is gonna stay in the church awhile to get warm. Back in the old days people burnt coal in furnaces for heat.
I mean both work, if the church is warm because of coal heater he's gonna stay in. If it's really col outside, hes gonna stay inside a fairly warm building
Original words were, I began to pray NOT I pretend to pray
That makes more sense
Memories of my youth. Some music never goes out of style.
So many years have passed and yet whenever hear this song, unusual feelings and all the memories flashing in my mind..
If there was ever a song to transport you back faster than a Time Machine, this is it! I remember when this came out, seems like yesterday!💖 To the days we thought would last forever!!!💕
I am a tad bit younger then when it came out but I was a 70’s youth and this tugs hard core at the memory strings.. I love it!❤️🔥
@@jacquelinelopez929 Isn't it amazing how music is timeless, regardless how many years have passed, it always brings you back to a time when we were younger and innocent!!! Don't ever let that go, I think this generation will never look back as we do, to a more innocent era!!
@@Steve-yo4ld Im only 15 years old and I hope it makes you happy that even the new Generation still loves this song …
@@Steve-yo4ld I'm only 14, I love it

Happiness, sadness, hope, disparity, scary , melancholy all at the same time. It's very telling of the 60's and telling of today.

Such a inspiring song,im going to sing it in my coral and i love it!
Time to wear headphones...
