  • Thank you, after 40+ years, now I finally understand, and I was always good with science, but nobody ever explained it like you just did. I even looked at many weather websites. Thank you so much, you should be a teacher, because that's what you really are. You just taught me and I've been tring to figure it out for years. Now I have it, thank you.

  • Do dehumifers kill mold spores or do they just stop new mold appearing I have mold in my bedroom also are small dehumifers ideal for a small bedroom or should I use medium or large dehumifer also do dehumifers work and are they worth using

  • Now do the same video/math for Las Vegas Nevada. It’s dry, dusty, house full of particulate matter from dead skin cells to pollen to animal dander. My house was built in 1950. I’m trying to clean the place so wife and I can breath better. Floors are tile or laminate. No carpet anywhere.

  • We keep getting alerts that our in home humidity is high - we aren't really FEELING it though, which I'm glad for! But comfort isn't my only concern - I worry about air quality as well, and of course mold loves humidity! How can this be prevented/combatted? I'm sure a dehumidifier would do the job, is there anything else we could do instead/in addition?

  • I am a little confused. I gather from this explanation that the key to humidity is temperature. If your room space has relative humidity (RH) too high i.e. > 60% then all you need to do is heat the air in that space - well according to the explanation in the video. Therefore if you have a reverse cycle AC all you need to do is set the control to heat the room - why install a dehumidifier? Please excuse my ignorance I am not the smartest kid on the block.

  • In the summer in the coastal plains of Texas and especially in my home which sits next to a body of water, I see 65 relative humidity with ac temperatures of 78f. I pull at least 5 gallons of water per day with a portable dehumidifier. It is a constant chore to keep the air at less than 60%RH. I dislike running the dehumidifier because it creates heat and it might as well be like a small window unit in the amount of extra electricity it uses. Humidity is not an issue with my home in Texas. I am beginning to wonder if my ac is at fault.

    @crawford323@crawford3232 жыл бұрын
    • Turn your ac down to between 70 and 72. The more your ac runs the more humidity it draws out.

      @nunyabidnez5857@nunyabidnez5857 Жыл бұрын
  • I just bought small digital hygrometer and I notice my air inside home is quite high like 62 to 68 percent. BUT if I turn on my AC it will go down to like 56-58. Then I bought a mini showcase fridge and I notice when temp gets lowered, the humidity goes DOWN. Like if it reaches 3-5celcius humidity will be 10%. If it is like 10-13c hunidity will be like 25%. So the colder the air is humidity will go DOWN But how come 5:03 it goes UP? Im confused

    @T1k3mys0n@T1k3mys0n3 жыл бұрын
    • the relative humidity will go down! when the temperature goes down the volume of the air decreases. meaning the air gets smaller so the same amount of water is gonna be a higher percentage of the maximun amount of water allowed at the lower temperature. watch this video. ive been watching videos on humidity all day. they all teach you something new. kzhead.info/sun/hNelZd2Jqpukn5E/bejne.html

      @oscarmosca1234@oscarmosca12343 жыл бұрын
    • I think there is something wrong with my AC, the lower the temperature I set, the higher the humidity. Had to keep the temperature on 75F. Already hired two "experts" and they cannot tell me the reason why this happens.

  • Sir i have a question. Is it really that bad going from a 3ton 14 seer to a 4ton 16 seer?

    @francis5944@francis59443 жыл бұрын
    • The tonnage is the capacity and the seer rating is the efficiency...the higher the seer usually means better but the tonnage is soly based on the variables such as size of home, how tightly constructed (air sealed) is your home and how insulated your home is too

    • @@proverbs2life I live in Texas. My house is 1,800s.f. and built in 2005. Original a/c unit is 3ton-14seer.... i just added a 10'x10' office making the house a total of 1,900 square feet. My living room messures 17'x17 with 17ft. tall ceiling... i just bought a 4ton-16seer unit and was wondering if my new 4ton will be ok? what are your thouths sir?

      @francis5944@francis59443 жыл бұрын
    • @@francis5944 there's tons of variables sir. More than I listed but you would need to have a contractor do a "manual J calculation" to determine exactly. Its not as simple.

    @user474u@user474u3 жыл бұрын
    • Where's the advertisement. He's teaching the audience about relative humidity and explaining the reasons behind why having a dehumidifier might be a good idea if you want to keep a comfortable environment in your home 365 days of the year. This is clearly meant to be an informative video, so at which point is he trying to push his products or services onto us. Maybe re-watch it and actually listen to the information that's being shared. Perhaps you'll understand it better then.
