The United States said Monday it opposed the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) investigation into Israel’s conduct in Gaza, amid reports that Israeli officials fear the Hague-based tribunal could soon issue arrest warrants.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly raised the issue with US President Joe Biden in a call at the weekend.
“We’ve been really clear about the ICC investigation, that we don’t support it, we don’t believe that they have the jurisdiction,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told a briefing.

Freedom was a tool that western powers could deploy in their battle against communism. They fooled an entire generation into believing that capitalism = freedom and they used misinformation about the soviet union and economic excess to coax the average westerner into believing that capitalism is the road to a fulfilling life. And for a while, it was. Then the soviet union fell and capitalism lost it's great enemy. Without the need to fool people any longer, capitalism spread its tentacles, empowered corporate entities to a status considered above the law and began it's war on it's new great enemy, the spending power of it's populations. They have been winning that war for 30+ years, and now, the middle class can barely afford to buy groceries.
The US has threatened to take action against the ICC if a warrant is issued against Netanyahu. Is it not a crime of contempt of court? Justice is equal for all. So what is the catch of the ICC?
