Keir Starmer stated that if his party wins the election, they will immediately halt all deportation flights to Rwanda. He also announced plans to address illegal immigration, promising to completely abolish the Rwanda scheme, including canceling all flights.
In response, home secretary James Cleverly, criticised the plans, arguing that the scheme was effective despite no flights having departed for Rwanda yet. Starmer dismissed the scheme as ineffective and costly, vowing to replace it with a border security command.
When asked about stopping illegal boat crossings, Starmer declined to use the catchphrase "stop the boats" or set specific reduction targets, stating that the goal was to substantially decrease crossings.

When Britain was smashing the world slave trade, the captains of the slave ships would throw the slaves into the sea in order to slow down the Navy. We did stop and rescue the victims but it did not stop the primary objective. If the invertebrates (Westminster) had been in charge, they would of said, "Oh well, this is endangering people. Best to let the slave trade continue"
