Real quality from Kennedy. She has become a world class player. Commiserations to El Tayeb, one of my all time favourites.
Nice to see both players playing 100% fair with their movement. Kennedy has improved tremendously. She hits and moves a lot calmer and isn't at all "jerky" anymore.
Her drop shots have improved...
Kennedy has always had the physical aspect. She's now combined that with fantastic shot selection. This is the best I've seen her play.
Kennedy now has all the basics down and slowly starts to develop some killer shots. And: great match. Fair, composed, pure squash, no exaggerated screaming, blocking, scowling.
I believe that the work Kennedy put into Tayeb in the 3rd game was the difference maker. She worked Tayeb HARD and you can't just keep going like that.

Very positive from both players despite both really wanted to win. This is unlike Nouran Goh.
Tayeb looked exhausted by the end. Not many players can do that.
Well done to Kennedy. Her tenacity is really paying off. Got to feel for Tayeb though. She's giving it her best but seems to be hitting a plateau. Perhaps she needs to focus on her strength and fitness for a while. Don't think there are any big problems with her squash technically. Just seems to run out of gas in the latter games.
