10 reasons why Robert Pattinson will be a good Batman: 1. He’s an incredibly talented actor. Remember Me, Water for Elephants, The Rover, Good Time, High Life, The Lighthouse, etc. proves that. 2. He’s already pulled off a cocky and charismatic billionaire in Cosmopolis. If anyone has what it takes to play a young Bruce Wayne, it’s him. 3. He looks like he’s bulked up for the role. Nearly every superhero actor works out hard enough to get the superhero physique. 4. He has the right height and chin for the part. Love him or hate him, he’s pretty much tailor made for the dark and gritty Batsuit. 5. He’s being trained for The Batman from the same guy who trained Keanu Reeves for John Wick. Imagine how intense the fights will be. 6. He’s done plenty of research for Batman. The amount of comics he’s read shows how much this character means to him. 7. He has support from Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan. Nobody should argue with the men who gave us The Dark Knight Trilogy. 8. He’s not the only controversial comic book casting. Nobody wanted Heath Ledger as The Joker but he proved them wrong. 9. He’s going to be the lead in the upcoming and highly anticipated Tenet. So far, two Dark Knight directors want to work with him. 10. He’s going to be directed by one of the best filmmakers today. Matt Reeves will direct a phenomenal Batman flick.
Vladimir Manosalvas i agree, i think he’ll be a good batman but why does everyone think so highly of matt reeves? Correct if im wrong but i think the only noteworthy stuff hes directed is cloverfield and the recent planet of the apes movies, id hardly call that worthy of being considered one of the best filmmakers.

@Valentina Br. He’s scheduled to begin filming another indie movie with director Claire Denis as soon as The Batman is finished. I heard it’s called “The Stars at Noon.” Not entirely sure, but I think the plot involves some romance eventually between an American woman in South America and a mysterious British businessman. But having seen some of this director’s films, I’m thinking it’s not your conventional movie.

I started watching some of his post-Twilight stuff after I saw a trailer for The Lighthouse and was curious and I was like, "Damn, he's good." For anyone who still judges Robert Pattinson for his involvement in the Twilight series, I cannot express how much you need to see his indie work! Good Time and The Lighthouse are absolutely outstanding performances from him, he is very versatile and will bring many great things to the role of Bruce Wayne / Batman.

Seeing this guy play Batman, especially after watching all of his indie films, will be a real delight. The versatile and chameleon approach he's taken to his career post-Twilight has been very interesting, and with "Tenet" up next I know he will give his all to play Batman.

@@ashbinx You can have smaller forearms and still be relatively buff. It has a lot to do with genetics. If you have a smaller wrist its going to be harder to make your forearms thicker and if you have smaller ankles its harder to make your calves bigger.

If he wants to look like The Rock, then you’re right, but if he’s going for a standard ripped look (like Bale in these movies) then I hate to tell you that MOST people don’t have trouble retaining muscle if they’re working out correctly.

"The Lighthouse" is one of the best movies I have EVER seen. Absolutely flawless. From recent years, only "Portrait of a Lady on Fire" can compare (or maybe "Loving Vincent", "mother!" and "The Favourite", but they do not have that feeling of realness and emotional impact). Brilliant cinema!

He was so great in Good Time, and so was the director/actor Bennie Safdie who played his mentally challenged brother, and also, the actor who played Ray was absolutely excellent! I wish the dark scenes like in the carnival could have been somewhat lighted -- hard to see.

I love how the lighthouse is basically a timeless movie. It could easily pass for a film made in the 70s or even earlier. Great film that actually makes you think and stretch your own comprehension of reality

Pattinson does his homework and is clearly passionate about his job. His independent Films are where you find his range and originality. I didn't even know who he was until I saw Good Time trying to relax after Thanksgiving! What a crazy ride-it was fantastic! When an actor makes you want more? Seriously, He is one of the best actors around right now. So Intrigued to see his portrayal of our beloved, tortured soul (maybe "vigilante style?") Batman 2021 and so impressed by the depth of what he brings to each character thus far. The Lighthouse, L.C of Z, H.Life, GT, The Rover, The King......he brought me back to loving film. Thank you Mr. Pattinson.

I am looking forward to see Robert play Batman. This man is an underrated action star. He was a savage in twilight especially in breaking dawn Part 2. The reason why I am looking forward to his depiction of Batman is because he is bringing a sinister dark energy to Batman. If you notice, Batman always was defensive when he fights. He never was offensive, but in the trailer, Batman was the offensive when he fought in the trailer. Batman is not known to beat someone savagely. Pattison brought the savagery to life when Batman beat someone down in the trailer. I am definitely looking forward to see Robert's portrayl of an iconic superhero.

When was this interview filmed? It's not new, it looks like it was back in October. The interviewer says the Lighthouse is in theatres now and Robert has his Tenet hair.

I saw another interview, that came before this and he looked buffer compared to this one. I'm glad someone is pointing it out, because i think some people are not pleased with his physique, based on this interview.
The Lighthouse is not even out in my country, till later this month. So the film is still technically "in theaters".
