I remember introducing this song to my boy best friend last 2015. we were obsessed with how beautiful the song and music video was. we sang this song nonstop from the bottom of our hearts. but then we went to different schools and had separate ways. eventually we found our way back together on the year 2017. however, it was 2018 when I lost him to a brain tumor. now I'm listening to this song without him, it hurts the same. not a day passes by that I don't wish he was still here.

For those of you that are confused, the video features a girl desperate for love. In the beginning we see her on her bed, talking on the phone. We then later see her watching the news, which is reporting her boyfriend missing. So put two and two together, we can say that the phone call was informing her of her boyfriend being missing. After the phone call scene, we see her in a bar. This scene is showing her and the guy going on their first date. While he is in the bathroom a guy comes up to her and tries to hit on her. When her boyfriend comes back he sees the guy and tries to fit him, but she stops it by throwing a bottle at him. They then run out of the bar and have their first kiss together. The music video then shows sweet moments they have in their relationship, but then it shows them making out. During this she bites his ear and he pushes her away because it hurt him. This causes a domino effect where the relationship goes from bad to good. They begin fighting. So on Valentines Day he tries to make it up to her by leaving her chocolate, flowers, and a teddy bear, which we see her holding at the beginning at the video. She is being ungrateful towards the gifts and they have a huge fight, which results in him walking out on her. She tries to rip the bear, but she can't because she still loves him. Earlier on in the video, we see him propose to her. Towards the end we see her putting on the wedding dress she was supposed to wear at her wedding. Because she suspected that he was cheating on her with all the fighting, she kills him so he can only be with her. At the end we see her putting a ring on his finger so they are officially married and he can have nobody else but her.

Besides the whole her killing him situation, the meaning of this video could go beyond the surface. When we break up with someone who is very special to us or feel that person is growing more distant, our natural instinct is to want them. Many times we hide away for a while or go out and pretend that none of it phases us, when deep down, we are actually harboring that person inside. In killing her boyfriend, it signifies how people deal with losing someone. It is hard to see ourselves or them having a future with someone else, so we go on pause, try to kill the thought of them, but in the mean time we're the ones actually dying in a spiritual sense.

I saw them in concert (opening for Ed Sheeran) yesterday at the Hollywood Bowl. FREAKING AWESOME. The lead singer was jumping and dancing everywhere, even walking into the crowd a few times. I wasn't familiar with their music before the concert, but now i can't stop listening to them. They're also super cute. The lead singer went up to a few girls in the front row and called them "darling" and told them that they were beautiful, which brought tears to my eyes. They definitely pumped us all up to see Ed Sheeran (btw, he was absolutely gorgeous to hear live).

best experience ever. so I click on this video thinking I've heard it before, and I start around 1:52 just to get to the chorus a bit faster. so I watch like a minute or so up to 3:14 then automatically think how the girl is drinking because she cheated on him or doesn't actually love him or how he cheated on her or how she just loves him too much. then, I decide to actually watch the video and the real meaning of this song completely strays away from my thoughts. I just think that this experience shows how thoughts can be affected if/when the beginnings and endings of stories aren't told and how bits and pieces of stories aren't ever really enough to formulate opinions/solutions.

my friends went to a party a few years ago and they drove home sober. only they didnt get home. their car broke down so they decided to push it down the highway. a drunk driver rear ended them and they were squished between the cars. one of my friends had his legs removed then died in the hospital a week after his 18th . my other friend died right at the scene :'(almost my whole school attended the boys funerals. im 20 now it happened when i was 17 :'( ill miss them forever another one of my friends died from a heroine overdose. noone even knew he used drugs. his brother now struggles with substance abuse its very sad
