Great news to get .
Your cattle is just outstanding. Super stock. Credit to you.👌👌👍
👍
Love your stock .....bull is beautiful
👍
Cracking job as always
Thanks again! Paddy
Good quality stock Graham
Thanks John
Super looking bulls. What age are you calving your heifers? I've had good success calving at 24 months but its that bit harder on the heifers. An extra couple months seems to stand to them in the long run.
They will be from 23 months to 27 months at calving. We used to have them about 30 months but this year we had two batches and the 24 months seem to get on better calving 🤷
Can you say what the breeding of your bulls is?
As in a video or in comments
@@Grahamkavanaghfarming whichever suits, I’d have an interest in Limousin breeding, was just wondering what your bulls breeding is, they’re fine bulls.
The first bull is by whinfell park lomu the second is by plumtree deus and the young bull is by a stock bull of Garry Morriseys, all are bred by Garry
@theoracle8560 what would you recommend to bring milk stay with limos or go to sim for heifers
@@Grahamkavanaghfarming loyal LM4184 and castleview casino CWI have been two good bulls for milk and calving ability.
Do you have to keep them in for a few days after AI?
We kept those in so as not to have a big change of diet close to ai as they were on a silage and meal mix. Don’t think it would be a good idea to go straight out to grass
@@Grahamkavanaghfarming complicated business....more than I thought. Thanks for the reply. I'll be learning all the time.
How ya Graham, great stock 1 as good as other, what's the white in the cows ,sim or Hereford.
It would be sim but it’s getting scarce in them now
@@Grahamkavanaghfarming ah ya may get a big simmental bull keep the job rite haha 😄.
It wouldn’t take much to sway me that way but I don’t know whether you could get the same kill outs
Do a video on loading on dung
Ya will be something as we get to it
Graham u should get a horse
Ah horses and me don’t get on 👍
Do you use strip grazing at all ?
no we don't use strip grazing we try to keep the cow numbers to suit field size on the different blocks of land also the weather we have been having didn't suit strip grazing
@@Grahamkavanaghfarming Thanks for a very informative reply.
