This cut is a perfect one for younger girls who want to cut their long hair off. This could also be a cute cut if you are donating all those long locks to Locks of Love. Of course, if you are going to donate to Locks of Love, you will need to make sure the hair that is being cut off is secured in a braid or pony tail and not left to fall on the floor. This little gal didn't have the minimum of 10 inches, so she was not able to donate her hair. She did, however have problems with lots of tangles, which she did not like, so they decided to cut her hair off to eliminate that problem. This cut has a little more of an angle, with a shorter back and longer front than the a-line bob we did earlier. It is also more stacked in the back.

My word what a brave young lady to have all that lovely hair cut off, mind you I remember our granddaughter not liking her long hair that was very wavy bring combed every day,used to have bring a few tears. You have cut it very nice as it looks really nice.and looks lovely on her pretty little face. Our granddaughter is 18 and still has long hair and it looks lovely.

I watched this video last year so I could learn how to cut my youngest daughter's hair this way. She was almost 5 at the time and her hair wasn't even close to being as long as the girl's in the video. It was and is now only to her shoulders. Her hair needs to be cut again so I wanted to review the technique again before cutting her hair. I think this cut is adorable on little girls. I don't know why so many people are being negative about it. It makes me wonder how many of the negative comments came from people who have a little girl themselves. Sure, long hair is pretty but at such a young age, they do not maintain it themselves. As a mom of 4, I just don't have the time or the patience to keep longer hair on my 6 year old looking nice all the time. And I can't be at school with her to do that either. I got tired of trying to brush out the tangles while she screamed about it hurting, no matter how gentle I was. And one issue with my daughter was that she is always getting food and other gunk in her hair, especially at the front around her face. I don't know about all little girls, but all of mine,(I have 3 girls and 1 boy), didn't really care what their hair looked like at this age. Its just easier to keep it looking nice, clean and out of their face when it's cut short.

I don't treat my kids like they are burdens. If I felt that way then I surely wouldn't have had 4 kids! I just said that it's easier to keep my daughter's hair looking nice and free from gunk at the age she is now if it's cut shorter. Is there a rule that says that all little girls have to have long hair? Girls can't have shorter hair too? I've seen lots of boys with longer hair. I guess their mothers must be lazy and see them as burdens because they don't get their son's hair cut short and neat like a boys hair should be. I have never cut my daughter's hair without first asking her if she wants it cut and showing her a picture of what it looks like. I would never cut her hair like this if she didn't want it cut this way. I do believe in letting my kids make some choices themselves, especially when it comes to their appearance. I wouldn't even consider having any of my daughters' ears pierced when they were babies like some moms do. I let them decide for themselves if they wanted to do that when they were older. I'm not criticizing moms who do have their baby girl's ears pierced, it's just not a decision I want to make for my girls. I'm not some controlling/helicopter/nazi mom! The girl in this video doesn't act like she is upset about having her hair cut short like this. She isn't being held down and forced to get it cut. I love my kids and would die for them! Do I feel burdened by my kids? Never! Am I lazy? With 4 kids? Ha! Whatever! P.S. You have one child. I remember having just one. It's a lot easier to spend lots of time with just one. It's easier to maintain long, pretty, tangle free hair on your little girl because the free time you have is all for her. Have 3 more kids, then maybe you will understand.

Omg, that is a drastic change! I like her hair short, a cute bob would have looked nice, but the layers in the back are way too short & hard to style on a little kid. My daughter had long curly hair & she had 11" taken off last year at age 6 so we donated it to locks of love.

I've noticed that KZhead keeps popping up little inserts of upcoming videos at the end. This blocks what I can see of the end product. Could you maybe come up with some sort of outro at the end of your vids so we can always see the final cut & style? It seems to be about the last 10-20 seconds. Also, I don't know why people are hating on this cut. I don't think it's too old for her, it looks cute. And sometimes a little girl doesn't want to deal with the pain of tangles anymore.
I have used it before but I have their moms stand at the bottom of them if they are to little. Just to hold their little legs down on the chair.

She is beautiful and this will show her adorable little face off and I know this will get her baby hair off and her hair will grow in thicker like you said in a few other videos, I had my daughter get a bob when she was little and her fine baby hair turned into thick, extremely natural curly hair! I have been asking my husband for the last two weeks if it would be okay with him if I took our daughter to get her hair cut because it's way too long and he won't give me an answer. So after waiting for no answer I snuck our daughter to the salon and had her hair cut the same way only difference I had bangs cut. My husband was mad at first but finally agreed her hair needed to be cut short due to the care involved in taking care of it and her fussing all the time that it hurts to brush her hair despite using a detangler. So for now we've decided to keep her hair short until she gets a little older and can care for it herself . But I love this haircut. Thanks for the video. Next haircut I'm thinking about a pixie cut for her this summer. Do you have a pixie haircut video for little girls.
