Big fan of Erickson Lubin and fighters like him who will fight anybody! Stepped up to fight Charlo and loss then everyone counted him out. He then fought his way all the way back to the top of the division and faced this freak of nature and ended up losing in a great fight! I hate the No loss culture in boxing because it deters most fighters from taking on tough challenges and we miss out on a lot of great fights like this one! Salute to both guys! I hope Fundora bounces back the same way Lubin did! That’s the real mark and embodiment of a true champion!
I wouldn't call this "a great fight". They just mauled each other in a phone booth Mexican style ..they both lost. I like mobile boxers that hit and don't get hit.

As a boxing fan I can appreciate fan friendly fights like this one just as well as boxing masterclasses that casual fans think are boring! The best fights have a balance of both Skill and grit! When you can’t outbox you’re opponent sometimes you have to bite down and fight!
I think Tszyu is go8ng to be too much for Fundora.

If I had to bet I would take Tszyu for the win but Fundora is a freak of nature at that weight class so it could be interesting! If he hasn’t learned from his previous fights he could be in big trouble! But I love the matchup nonetheless!

The way Lubin started coming back in the 7th rd looked like a Rocky movie. Saw this fight live but it was a good stoppage. If Lubin had a better game plan I believe he could win in a rematch.
This is exactly why he got knocked out last time. He doesnt need to fight this way to still be exciting. He's not gonna have a long shelf life.

His problem is mobility. He’s not light on his feet and his hands aren’t either. If he tries to fight at a distance considering his speed the possibility of him getting counter is high.

People don't realise that Fundora has bad eyesight. So he can't fight on the outside. He doesn't have the depth perception and its harder for him to judge distance. He says this is why he has to fight in the inside

Full respect to Lubin, what a warrior. No hate towards Fundora but that dude is a living cheat code. Lubin may be this generations Austin Trout. A terrific elite boxer who never got to shine because of close fights or bad match ups/timing. He fought Charlo to young and got "Lubin'd" which actually coined a term for awhile. Now he fought the living cheat code.

He’s 18-1, I boxed for 2 years in college. Do you know how good you have to be to win 3 fights much less than 18? Every boxer has to keep evolving but if I had to take one of these fighters and bet on the next 10 fights. I’m taking the black guy, he hits harder, it’s just hard to fight someone 10’’ taller than you. I bet he will never give him a rematch.

Clearly. He fought a horrible fight standing toe to toe with such a shorter guy. Plus both fighters apparently were never taught the art of ducking, bobbing and weaving or slipping punches. Horrible.
My thoughts also. A longer reach means the straight jabs will connect more without him getting hit by the smaller guy. No need to fight toe to toe with a shorter boxer.
Lubin never quit. I want a rematch. Without that facial swelling I think Lubin stops him in the later rounds.
