  • For the past 28 years, Jim Nantz has essentially been the face of CBS Sports. He’s always been a consummate professional and I’m happy that he’s spending more time with his family so he could focus on Golf and the NFL at his age

    • Same here. He is the goat when it comes to sports broadcasting and to me he’s the equivalent of Tom Brady, taking time off to spend time with his kids.

  • I started following college basketball in the mid-1980s and Nantz has always been a voice of it; first as the host and then the announcer. But it's time. For the better part of the past 20 years he has only done a game or two the entire regular season and swooped in at the very end for March Madness. He's done great work for 32 years but I absolutely agree with allowing an announcer like Eagle, who calls college hoops games for CBS all season, to become their main voice of the sport. Eagle has more than earned the opportunity.
