So incredible how nearly 40 years later he was able to jump right back into the role just as perfectly as the first time. And he looks great for 72!

Just watched a movie called the birdman with him it was very good. He also just did a movie about McDonald's starting their first restaurants. Honestly I think he's been making movies quite a bit lately.

I hear some people say "Jim Carrey would've been great for the part of Beetlejuice." He might be good. But Michael played that part perfectly and i can't/don't want to imagine anyone else playing the part.
Exactly, Michael Keaton is one of those actors that you can only see playing the role any role he plays… he was the only thing that I liked about Spider-Man Homecoming. But this movie was unnecessary, I’m so sick of all of these unnecessary sequels ruining their original movies
Jim Carrey was still too young and green in the late 80s, I think he’s a full 12 years younger than Keaton, he just wouldn’t have had the experience or gravitas that Keaton brings to the role at Carrey’s age at the time

One of my favorite films and also one of the funniest in my collection is called Night Shift. Starring Henry Winkler Shelly Long and Michael Keaton. Ron Howard's first feature film. The comedic chemistry between the three is amazing. He's one the most versatile actors ever in my opinion.

To reprise the role of Beetlejuice at 72 years old is amazing. I completely believe he was tired after playing the character again. It requires so much energy. I'm glad he decided to do it again and if nothing else, I know Keaton will deliver a memorable performance once again.

I can, this movie was unnecessary. I’m so sick of All the unnecessary sequels that they’re making nowadays. They’re ruining original movies… the first Beetlejuice is a classic and it made me mad when I heard that they were making a sequel over 3 decades later because so many original movies are being destroyed by these unnecessary sequels and now they’re doing the samething to Beetlejuice

@@nsasupporter7557I generally agree with your sentiment and wish that Hollywood would come up with more original stories and stop relying so much on sequels, reboots, and the like. Like seriously, were people really clamoring for a Willy Wonka origin story..? However, I must admit, that as a fan of the original Beetlejuice, I always felt like the eponymous character left me wanting more with how little screentime he gets in the film. Maybe that's why I'm willing to give this movie a chance. So although I feel like the movie wrapped up nicely and didn't need a sequel, I personally see value in this sequel in that, if nothing more, I'll get to see more of Beetlejuice's antics, which I would have loved to have seen more of in the original film.
Fun fact: Michael's real last name is "Douglas" but had to change it to something else because there was someone else registered in the Screen Actors Guild with that name (obviously). He took the last name of "Keaton" from the legendary Buster Keaton.
Michael Keaton is a legend and his movie's are just so great and he played so many different roles in his career. Truly a talented person.
Michael Keaton is so down to earth and has never changed. Such a great guy and actor. Can`t wait for Beetlejuice 2. The first one was ground breaking in 1988. It was a mix of old school horror, Dracula, The Adams Family, wild 40s cartoons, Little Shop of Horror and modern technology. And the cast. God damn. It was such a perfect storm and FUNNY. One of the funniest movies in the 80s.

I made a Beetlejuice costume back in the day. I watched the VHS over and over again trying to get all of the lines, the mannerisms, all of it. I wore it to a bunch of Halloween parties over a few years. Man oh man, doing that voice all night wears you out. One of my favorite gimmicks was having a bicycle horn in my shorts under the pants to squeeze. I think it was for the “NICE F’n MODEL!!!” line. I loved being Beetlejuice. I could get away with so much.

I honestly cannot believe my ridiculous life-long wish for a Beetlejuice sequel is finally happening! Long ago, I had finally allowed myself to accept that it would never happen so I damn near died from over-excitement the second I learned that this was not another false alarm. I may have been waiting 36 years for this, but now that it's finally happening, having to wait several months for it's release is going to kill me. Michael recently stating that the movie is "pretty f**king good" only got me more excited for it, to be honest. Tim Burton has always said that he would not even consider doing a second Beetlejuice movie unless it was going to be absolutely phenomenal, so I am positive this is going to be great and that I will not be disappointed.
