Known only by her research number, Grizzly 399 has been a fixture in Grand Teton National Park since 2007, becoming the world’s most famous grizzly bear. Now 399 is raising four new cubs in the face of human encroachment, a warming climate and the threat of losing protection under the Endangered Species Act. • I saw live grizzlies in Northern BC. Along the salmon run, there was a tour stop. We were literally across a narrow stream from the bears. Everyone was in awe and stayed quiet and respectful. It was so wonderful.

  • Hi Nature on PBS! Please please make an awareness documentary about Japanese bears and Salmon shortage. Please help bring awareness to the 8-10 baby bear cubs that died in 2023 due to the mamas and papa bears not finding enough salmon. Also, the fact that bear is a delicacy in Japan (for example eating bear paw). Please help teach how people can help actively fight global warming as the sea temperatures rise. I see many people and news outlets talking about global warming, but I honestly have no idea what to do about it or how to help raise consciousness online or in my community. Thank you for your work and dedication❤

    • I love your enthusiasm to help teach your community about the ecological impact of global warming and the impact of consuming keystone animals. I would say to find like-minded people in your community and work with them to teach these ideas ❤❤❤❤

    • Absolutely! And bear paw is a delicacy no matter it takes an entire day to prepare! There are videos of making bear paw and it really doesn't make any sense, either. If you want to see something watch the crooked chef on yt. This man will never starve and if living through the apocalypse, I might not either after watching him. Be warned. It's disgusting 🤢🤮

  • It's a shame how humans have encrouched on wildlife! People have lost their fear of the natural instincts of these beasts! And they have lost their natural fear of us knowing full well they CAN eat us, attack us, etc. That's not a good thing but do humans care? Not in the least. Thank you for the upload!
