Rob Ryan’s face of disappointment was so glorious. One of the best regular season victories in the BB/TB12 era
I’m a Diehard saints fan and agree he sucked as our DC that face is a GIF on twitter
What a corny closing line by you
*-* contrast that image with his brother's late in the game AT Balt. after the timeout was unwisely called in TB's 'undefeated' season that eventually ended with Mercury Morris s t i l l talkin' .
I’m an avid saints fan and I agree fuck Rob Ryan lol
Nigga just say "Bill/Brady" lol
"The Patriots aren't really used to losing at home." Little did he know.
went a little south when TB
Kenbrell Thompkins one shining moment, what a game
Underrated season for Brady considering the trash he had around him, and led Bill to draft Garoppolo & sign Revis/Browner which lit the spark for a second dynasty
No what lit the spark for the 2nd dynasty was Malcolm Butler picking off Russell Wilson at the 1 yard line 😂
Glad someone brought this up. Dude was throwing to Dobson, Boyce and Thompkins. All are out of the league.
@@808mitch the wheels were set in motion before that is all I'm saying and it largely had to do with what happened in this season
@@quad2265 yea the fact that he dragged this team to 12-4 is just insane
Probably the 2nd worst Offense of his Carrer.
Brees & Brady always had some memorable games through the years truly, it’s really insane that Drew Brees isn’t even playing in the NFL anymore , it even sounds insane to even say as a fan
Easily a go to moment when you think of Tom Brady’s clutch moments.
he was considered one of the best in history 8 yrs ago and in those 8 yrs he pieced together another all time great career, unreal
Holy shitt that's tru and crazy what a great player
There’s honestly some sadness in the fact that this game took place 8 years ago. It doesn’t feel that long ago to me, I was just going into college when this game happened. Probably one of Brady’s most iconic touchdown passes and makes me wish we got way more Brady-Brees matchups.
We were all robbed of a Brady-Brees superbowl. The coaching matchup was no joke either...Belichick vs Payton
@@tombrady1555 Yeah that would have been good
@@tombrady1555 and now they're both retired. It's an end of an era
As a saints fans I totally agree with u
@@jcoolguy1548 not so fast.
0:39 might be one of Brady's most impressive runs ever lol
I remembered this game and the Red Sox-Tigers ALCS game at Fenway being great that day. It was a great day for comebacks in the New England area
Hell yeah I've lived in Maine since 92. Go New England!!!!
I was just about to comment the same thing
@@stevensmall9398 Were You Happy The Red Sox Won Their 3rd World Series Championship Back In 2013?
It certainly was.
"Back at the wall, TIE GAME! Big Papi, Grand Slam"
I was at a friend's house watching this game and remember making the mistake of calling it a night and heading home after Brady threw that pick with a touch over 2 minutes left. Got home, checked the score and couldn't believe it. Never made the mistake of counting him, or this team in particular out again, and boy did they climb out of some insane holes that season...
Rob Ryan's expression at the end is legendary!
I remember this game from the infamous clip of the announcer declaring the Saints had closed it out before the Pats made their comeback
And that was the worst thing Thom Brennaman ever did…
@@mjwatts1983 *Wasn’t
2013 was an impressive season for Brady. Lot of injuries this season but we saw the rise of Edleman and they got to the conference title game.
He probably had the weakest receiving core out of all the top teams that season
@@jacknimmble5520 everybody on that offense outside of Edelman was garbage
I’m not a Saints fan, but I miss Drew Brees.
I was never a Saints "fan" but I really shed a few tears when I saw Brees retire. Pure class. Awesome QB. When Brady gets out I will be throwing the biggest, drunkest, happiest party ever! Brady not pure class player.
@@tracysnow349 who hurt you
The only reason the Saints were in that position was because of Brees. During 2012 and 2014-2016 the team had a HORRIBLE defense. Brees's magic kept those teams at 7-9. Without him they would have bottomed out at 2-14 probably. That gave them time to do a slow rebuild to get all the players for the 2017-2020 run.
I always yearned to see a Brady-Brees Super Bowl but it was not to be. The closest they came to a post-season game was the 2020 Divisional round with Brady's Bucs.
@@tracysnow349 geez
A tale of two quarterback legends!
In a way this is sad, you realize all the legendary qbs from the 2000s are slowly going away… all we have now is Brady, what’s left of Ben, Matt Ryan and Rodgers… sad to see time fly by
It really is impressive Brady took a receiving core of Aaron Dobson, kenbrell thompkins, half a season of amendola, and an unknown in Edelman to the afc title game
corps
This is the regular season game that perfectly encapsulates why Brady is special/The GOAT. Unbelievable!
This is one of the greatest games of all time
You're the greatest of all time as my favorite tight end mr gronkowski!
🗿
@michael cooper cringe no one cares
One perk about the new schedule expanding by a single non-conference game is that maybe we won't always have to wait 8 years for these match-ups. I just remember how beat up and hurt this Pats team was, and how everything felt like a struggle, but that feeling you only get with the best of the best. If Brady has a chance. That's all we need. Just give him a chance.
Really miss watching Brees play. Good luck to him and his family. To Saints fans good luck this season
Did all that with no-name scrubs to throw to and carried them to the AFCCG. Meanwhile other "GOATs" need the perfect team to win anything
I was 17 when this game happened, now I'm almost 26, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. Crazy how much time passes.
One of the More Underrated Brady Comebacks.
That was such a fire night for Boston, Big Papi and Brady put on a show for us
Amen
Scott Zolak : Brady's back! Unicorns! Show ponies! Where's the beef?! best play call in Patriots history !
“You can have your Manning! I’ll take my Brady!” Zo had some great calls that game
@@johnny__topside Oh yeah ! The one in the last AFC Championship game vs Kensas City : "We're back ! America's worst Nightmare is back ! And there's nothing you can do about it ! " Or an older call, the one where he says : "In life when you have to rely on people, the ones that always come through, that's the patriot's way" lol ! Love his calls, he just should've not said what he said about Cam's "Rap music" that was out of line ! But i guess in the end it all worked out ! Have a nice one Bro !
This touchdown is magic.
One of my favorite brady comebacks
i love to see these old games highlights and see the nfl bottom scrolling ticker and see some of the names that was playing in the NFL at time. in this game we can see names like BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Andre Johnson, Reggie Bush, Knowshon Moreno, LeSean McCoy, Matt Cassel, Nick Foles and etc
Not a big Saints Fan but I’m just glad Drew Brees was able to retire as a New Orleans Saint
Bro this is probably the most respectable loss I’ve received as a saints fan but the emotions at the time were crazy. And that throw from Brees to Stills 🔥🔥amazing. But at the end , I guess you can say I felt like a Bills fan or some shit like damn.
I'm a die hard Saints fan but Tom Brady inspires me to be great everyday doing simple everyday things. Also this game stung me hard ! Great game tho.
It’s funny how not only does Brady have more ships then anyone or any team, but also has the head to head wins against other QB. Yet, people still have the nerve to say another quarterback is better lol
Brady went through 3 of the top QB's to win Super Bowl LV as a Buck. Many said Rogers was better but he never came close to doing what Brady has done. Maybe Mahomes will do it if he stays healthy and has good teammates.
I am a Patriots fan. I was playing football outside when this game occured. Nighttime hit and I come in the house only for my younger brother to inform me that New England won the game. I thought the pats had a bye week that day so I didn't have to worry about them at all
Did your brother record the game?
@@jturner2577 Sadly no. We were 10 and 11 at the time. We got in trouble a lot as kids and that game was one of those times we were trouble free
@Steven Seth I messed up I know
Now, former Patriot Aqib Talib is a Fox NFL analyst and Thom Brennaman is no longer with Fox. He’s calling high school sports in Cincinnati.
Sad Thom was such a great broadcaster it’s a sham his career was completely ruined
@@aahZeiK Eh, he did it to himself
Rob Ryan's face in the end 😂😂😂
Miss these days, Pats didn't win it all in 2013, but that was a memorable season. Between this comeback, the Browns comeback, and the Broncos comeback, it was such a magical year. I think there's a chance that they would have beat Denver in the AFC championship had Gronk not tore his ACL.
Or if gostkowski made the extra point
@@philswift1252 That was 2015 I think.
@@greysonG10 This game in the video was during the 2013 regular season but the pats lost to the broncos in the AFC championship in January 2014, still part of this season.
@@philswift1252 Yeah true, but they also lost to Denver in the 2015 season, in January of 2016. That was the one that Gostkowski missed that extra point.

UNICORNS. SHOWPONIES. WHERE’S THE BEEF?
*That's my quarterback, BRADYS BACK AND HES BACK BIG* - Scott Zolak 2013
I'll never forget as a kid watching zolak beat Steve young at foxboro to get the Patriots in the playoffs back when Pete Carroll was their coach LMAO
Much as people remember Rob's face here, it is hard not to feel frustration. Your defense gets a 4th down stop and pick from Tom Brady in the 4th Quarter and your offense isn't able to put the game out of reach.
I don't care what people say, Thom Brenneman was one of the best commentators ever. Him calling that game-winning touchdown amped me up (even though I was going for the Saints).
I remember walking out of the room after the last interception. 5 minutes later, I heard my dad scream, "OH MY GOD!" TD, Ballgame.
Brady & Brees had some great games against each other. One of my favorites was their ‘09 matchup 🔥
Who won?
That was a blowout
@@jajabinks4733 yes it was

Lol guess mitch is a Saints fan
I was in high school when this happen and I still remember it clear as day and my grandparents were mad. Go Pats
I was a college senior at the time. For me (grew up 20 miles from Saints country), it was payback for that MNF loss from 2009.
the closest we ever got to a Brees and Brady Super Bowl
I forgot about this one. Thanks for posting.
I get so excited when NFL Throwback uploads a Patriots video ☺️
This always reminds me of the vikings game they choked in the divisional round. They Saints always find a way to blow game winners
Bunch of car salesman dressed up as receivers for Brady to throw to 😭
The representation of drew Brees career. Amazing offensive performances and can go toe to toe with anyone, but it's all ruined by an awful defense
to be fair drew and the offense didnt have their best game this game. the defense made some good stops but you can only hold so much when the offense keeps going 3 and out
The sack he took at the end didn’t help things either.
I definitely miss the Brees-Brady matchup!
When Brady slipped away for a decent run okay
Had to come back to rewatch this after the Patriots got bent over in today's game against the Saints
Brady.
I am REALLY going to miss Tom Brady. He's been around FOREVER! It's going to really suck when he retires.
I know 😣😞
Brady was one of the oldest players in this game yet he’s one of the only few still playing 😂

18:17 BRADY'S BACK!!! THAT'S YOUR QB!!! WHO LEFT THE BUILDING?! UNICORNS, SHOW PONIES!!! WHERE'S THE BEEF?!?
Kenbrell Thompkins…remember him?
I've been waiting a long time for this
The most unbelievable game winning drive I have ever seen
Saints got the ball twice near the end of the game and only used maybe 30 seconds. Terrible time management.
Brady beat the Saints twice with 5sec or less on the clock and knocked them out of the 20-21 playoffs after being crushed by them twice in the regular season giving Brady a 6-5 edge over them which is still impressive for the saints considering Brady has never lost to any NFL team more than he has beaten them. The Fins beat him the most, 12xs, but they were in his division and he beat them twice as much. What a legend.
Nice game by two legends who played the game how it should be played
I mean, c'mon, that has got to be one of the worst defenses ever, you let Austin Collie and Kembrell Thompkins get open and pick you apart?
Post-concussions Austin Collie in his first ever game for the Patriots too… I believe that 4th down was his second catch as a Patriot, the first being earlier they same drive
Man sproles had some Sweet feet and blazing speed
Collie I barely remember you but thanks for those two catches on final drive!
The 2 best TE at the time
This is why Brady’s the goat
Crazy to think Brady has outlasted almost all of these guys!!! Truly the GOAT 🐐
Man the Saints defense blew every single game back then.
INCREDELMAN!
2:35 "First round baft trick", that's a new one.
Nothing like putting the game in the hands of the Saints defense
10 years ago now. And I thought this was the best last minute comebacks, then SB51 comes along
And the pass is caught by Kenbrell Thompkins, and that’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run. And that’ll make it a 4-0 ball game.
You can see how well Brady has improved his pocket presence since then. I was so weirded out seeing a jittery Brady here.
Actually no the oline was shit that game
This was the last time the Saints came to Foxborough until this Sunday oh and yes it's going to be in Fox channel just as like this game! #gopats!!!!
Was this your favorite game as a patriots fan?
I was at this game. Can't belive it's been this long already.
I know Brady eventually won out, but looking back at this and seeing good db's that actually stop people and disrupt passes LEGALLY is something you don't see anymore. Today nobody can guard receivers without drawing a PI.
That was actually smart on the pats to go for it on fourth down on their own territory with 3 mins left. If punt the ball one first down with that much field ends game. With 20 yds one first down they’d have to score td or kick a fg then pats get ball back but all depends on how the defense is playing
UNICORNS, SHOWPONIES, WHERES THE BEEF!!! -Scott Zolak on radio. Classic.
Was lucky enough to be at this game with my brother and still can't believe they won this game even while watching this highlight video now couldn't believe they were gunna win this game after turning the ball over twice inside final 5 minutes while trailing
Victories like these used to make me hate the Patriots so much. You could never count out Brady, smh.
TOM BRADY TO KENBRELL THOMPKINS. UNBELIEVABLE
Man I can't wait for Sunday. Go Pats
Even when the Saints defense was good, maybe even elite, they still found ways to let Brees down in the final minutes/seconds.
The good times😥
i think you guys meant "in" in the title, not "is" :)
I remember this game like yesterday
4:30 that voice squeak though LOL
Brady made a comeback on the Saints once again
What a final drive.
Brady throwing to nobody's 😂
This was day Papi hit grand slam in ALCS game 2. I watched this from Fenwat before game.
Dammit can you guys show some throwbacks from the 80s sometimes!
Damn good game if only Brees hadn't retired we could have had more of this
It’s funny how you can find a high quality video if this matchup but when Drew smoked him in “09 seems hard to find
one of brady top clutch moments, saints had such terrible coverage
19:26 The inevitable result of facing a GOAT
It’s crazy we never got a brees and Brady super bowl saints always feel short in playoffs
