  • I didn't realize Claressa is only 26. She already has the record for the fastest boxer to win titles in 3 different weight classes and now she's doing MMA. We are watching a Legend in the making!

    • First off i think it’s her will and guts that makes her the legend she is. For about almost 2 rounds elkin really used the grown to show it was her domain and this was also one of shields first matches in the mma and she didn’t shy away. Like “Kobe mamba mentality” she went straight for I.T right at elkin letting her know this might be my weakness but I’m that dog that my weakness I won’t be allowed to make me falter. And she beat her at her own game in the same way and she purposely did that. She not like a rampage Jackson or kimbo slice she’s a different breed from them as dominant strikers. She showed even out of her specialty she can get it done any way needed! Champs win ugly and unconventionally and she fiercely went into winning that way I think this is a real statement win for her even with the room to grow

Boxing with elbows, knees, hammerfisrs, 6 Oz gloves, extended clinches, and a smaller ring that allows for more brawling. But no kicks. Eight 2 minute rounds. She walked through fire for 5-6 min, the whole time just calm sporadic at times and just raw in the world of mma. Even though she is a extraordinary boxer, I just didn't understand why her corner did not advise her; weather it was in the camp or ring to use the front side kick from bone Jones play book to keep the opponent at bay, and to use elbows as well as jabs and punches! 🤔 she might need an extra trainer or other trainers to improve her game; because those few tricks from bone Jones playbook would have been excellent for her debut!!!

    • Because she's a boxer, not an MMA fighter. She's coming in with a disadvantage. If boxers want to fight MMA fighters it should be in a new middle ground sport called Rumble. Boxing with elbows, knees, hammerfisrs, 6 Oz gloves, extended clinches, and a smaller ring that allows for more brawling. But no kicks. Eight 2 minute rounds. Rumble will allow us to see who the best mid range fighters are.
