The similarities between drifting and racing are not lost on me. I wanted to get into drifting but my pockets only go so deep. Congrats on the Channel growth, you have a very good presence to your videos
I appreciate that a lot Roach! Im a genuine watcher of yours. You do an awesome job with the racing scene. Im in the same boat with wanting to get into racing. A solid drift build and a solid 1/8th setup would both start around $1200 from my research. My decision was made for me with the drift being so close and consistent compared to the 1/8th tracks being neither close nor consistent haha. Keep it up man! Maybe someday well be able to meet up and talk shop🤘🏼
First! Awesome topic and discussion! Thanks for breaking this down for us newbs. This honestly helps a ton

Hi Sean I have a question regarding weight distribution, is there any specific rule about that ? For example has to be specifically 65-35? Thank you 🙏
Hey there! So there is a rule regarding that bias. It does not have to be exactly one weight, but there is a limit to how much the rear can be. I think it should be mentioned in Super-Gs rule set. I wish I had a better more specific answer.
Why is there a bumper height check and not measuring ride height? So that feels like having a limited choice for body then if they measure ur bumper height hmmm 🤔
Its more so a rule that states you need to have a rear bumper. For instance some guys will go for the drift misslle look and not install the rear bumper or chop it. The rules doesnt allow for that because it changes the proximity to the wall compared to a full body. Its just to make the competition fair. Not really a limiting factor at all just a protective rule so competition stays fair. i think the only real rule that limitis bodies it the length rule but they just changed it to allow almost all bodies on the market to fit. Thanks for watching. i hope this clarifies things🙌🏼
Deeewwwwwdddd!!! I just learned there is a drift track in Portland and it’s like 30 min from my house! I checked at there layout and it looks sort of like an old super g layout it’s concrete floor but now I can really get some actual practice in and see what it’s like to drift with people! Probably gonna try and hit it up this week or weekend! Then I’ll get prepared for competing soon! Rc drifting just makes me hyped I mean rc cars in general do but something about the drift that just has me by the heart strings hahaha
Bro I’m so happy to hear that! That’s going to be so sick! Dude you’re going to be stoked! Concrete was hard to drive on but you’re really going to learn fast because of it! I hope you have a great time man! Let me know how it goes!!! And take some pictures for the Gram🔥🔥🔥
@@SeanLewisMedia dude I feel like because my garage is smooth concrete and Ive put a lot of time on it that I will be able to hit the ground running when I see this track hopefully anyways! Hahaha I’ll definitely try and get some shots and stuff especially if there is a lot of action!!!!
Why should the car be 1300 grams ? If it's around 1100 how can it be an issue
Those are just the rules that they have developed of over there time doing this. There goal is to keep the competition fair and I’m sure they have a good reason for it.
