  • Thank you for showing a smoothie! I’m so confused hearing there are certain ways I have to put smoothies in the app! Is that only for fruit smoothies or adding fruit when they become points? I know this is old but I recently found you and I’m binging 😆😆😆.

    @Parkswifey1222@Parkswifey12222 ай бұрын
    • Hi there! And welcome! With smoothies, according to Weight Watchers, you would create it as a recipe and then there's a spot that you check if it's a drink or not. If it is, that's when it counts the fruit. The way I look at it is if I would use the same amount in a bowl, I wouldn't count it. So, that's why I don't usually count the fruit in smoothies. I don't use a ton of fruit in one smoothie. The reason Weight Watchers does it is more scientific and about how you could end up overeating because the process of chewing the food helps as well as your body breaking everything down, whereas with smoothies, a lot of the digestion process is already done. The way I see it, I didn't get overweight by eating fruit. As long as my overall day is a healthy day, I don't worry about it. :)

  • I am definitely making those hash brown waffles! They tick all of the boxes for me. Anything with potatoes, Avo and hot sauce I’m on board. I don’t diet, I never weigh myself or count calories or points. Food freedom and satisfaction are my goal, but I like to be a “mindful eater,” if you will. I found your channel while looking for peanut powder recipes. Thanks so much. Some good stuff here.

    • Thanks so much!! And you are exactly where I hope to be eventually! I took a break from "dieting" last year so I could look into Intuitive Eating. While it's definitely something I'm aiming for, I'm not quite there yet. I will be though! I'm so glad food freedom is working for you!! 😊

    • I quit all diet-related behaviors in Jan.2022. I deleted all diet and fitness related apps from my phone. I was a binge/then punish myself with restrictive diets and over-exercising type. I tried them all. I even had weight loss surgery! Gained back all but 40 lbs. I only have my clothes as a barometer - I went from size 22 jeans to size 16. I’m far from skinny, but I am at peace. I have not binged in a year, but all of the things I used to binge on are in the house. Ice cream, candy, chips, cake. I’ve shocked myself by how well I’m doing. I just wanted the anxiety and self/hatred to end. Mission accomplished. One thing I’ve experienced - for sure - It’s Not About Food. I’ve changed my relationship with food. I now realize that binge eating happens it was because I was under-eating unsatisfying food. Plus once I took dieting off the table - knowing that another diet was not a solution, it stopped my binge eating in its tracks. It’s like a muscle you have to work in and strengthen. It doesn’t happen over night. I lost those sizes over 12 months of this, not overnight. I wish you every success in your efforts. You’re a beautiful lady just as you are.

    • @@tootsla1252 That's excellent!!! You are so right - that's something I've learned over the last year - the relationship with food. I used to sacrifice flavor for low points but now it's about flavor. I don't sacrifice my favorites anymore. I also don't worry about the scale. If I lose, I lose, but if I don't, I'm still happy. I just want it to be about health and not weight loss. Thanks so much! Congrats to you!!!
