  • Darvin Ham was terrible. If you watched the lakers with any sense of regularity, they almost never had any coaching edge against any team they played, and they won most of their games on the backs of AD and Lebron's great performances. When the best shot you can get in a tied elimination game with less than five minutes remaining is a BS rui midrange fadeaway, and when one of your best players in AD says it felt like they didn't know what they were doing, the coach is trash. He needed to be fired. He should have been fired.

    • The Lakers were lucky be the 7th. I don't think they get that many games out of LeBaby and AD again if history is right. Two ball dominant players. It's hard to build a team around that. Players like to actually touch the ball now and then. Hard to do that on the Lakers. Keep pushing all your chips in with LeBaby as your winning hand. It's not happening. What he still gives you in scoring he gives up on defense. His points are a wash.

    • Beating BOS isn't enough. I think winning FMVP would leave Brunson a questionable superstar. Brunson hasn't put up superstar numbers in this regular season, or in last year's playoffs. Becoming a superstar doesn't happen within one post-season, nearly ever.

    • I agree on Ant. The truth is neither one is a superstar yet. You can't just throw that word around lightly. I mean, Brunson has put in the effort and should be in the conversation for MVP this season, but he's definitely no superstar. As far as superstars go, that's Giannis, Luka, Jokic, Embiid...guys like LeBron, Curry, KD, and MAYBE Harden, Westbrook, Kawhi WERE superstars but really aren't anymore due to age and/or health.

  • I watched 4 coaches, who coach Bron lead teams get fire when they had winning win/lost record. Mike Brown was 305-187 with a ECF CHAMPIONSHIP, Tyrone Lue was 128-83 with 3 straight ECF championship. David Blatt was 83-40 with a EC Championship, and Frank Vogel was 127-98 with a one ECF CHAMPIONSHIP, and NBA Final Championship 🤷🏾‍♂️

But Brown has at least constantly made deep runs, even up to the finals, Brown playing close to Tatum's level. Brunson is better than Brown right now, but superstar status is evaluated over several seasons.
